Day 180 Revelation 14:12 Here is the patience of the saints; here are those who keep the commandments of God and the faith of Jesus. 13 Then I heard a voice from heaven saying to me, “Write: ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.’” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, and their works follow them.” (NKJV) Do you have patience when you see so much violence around you? Or do you want to do what you can to bring justice out of violence? Do you consider who caused the violence and why? John saw the dragon give authority to the beast. He saw the dragon make an image for people to worship. He heard the decree of the beast for everyone to receive the mark of the beast on their foreheads or hands. Then John heard the judgment of the angel who declared that anyone who worshiped the beast or received the mark would suffer the wrath of God. Their torment would rise to God for eternity. Not everyone would worship the beast or take his mark. Those who didn’t were the saints who accepted Jesus as their Savior and Lord during the Tribulation. To them the angel told John to write that they were blessed because from then on, they would rest from their labors and their works would follow them. Everyone else would suffer the wrath and judgment of God as the angels reaped the earth. Christians need patience when they see the violence and destruction around them. Satan works hard to destroy those who trust Jesus to keep them safe from the violence, only to find themselves in the middle of Satan’s schemes against them. You need to have patience. Satan’s schemes against you cannot last, and you will rise victorious when God rescues you from his hands. You also know you will not go through the Tribulation, but you must pray for those who will. People will accept Jesus as Savior and Lord during the Tribulation. They could be the loved ones you spent your life praying for, they could be your friends, neighbors, and coworkers who found a place on your prayer list for salvation. You don’t know when people will accept Jesus as Savior and Lord, but you know they will because John showed those who would receive God’s seal of salvation. They would rest from their labors and their works would follow them. God will bless them because they had patience in the middle of all the violence of the beast, Antichrist, to destroy those who would not follow him. You need patience right now and you need to pray. Let your loved ones, neighbors, coworkers, family, and friends know you pray for them. Let them know you don’t want to see them end up in Hell for eternity. You don’t know when they will face eternity, but you know they will. Everyone does. If they die without Christ, it is the only place for them. If the Tribulation comes before they face eternity, they have hope. They will see the truth and know how much you cared to spend your life praying for them. Have patience and let God put His seal on them. God knows everyone who will accept Him as Savior and Lord. He wrote their names in the Lamb’s Book of Life at the foundation of the world. Pray, have patience, and watch God work. Let’s pray: Father, no one knows when Jesus will return to call Your people home and the Tribulation will begin. Only You know the time and hour. Help me pray for my loved ones, friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers. Let them know I pray for them and their salvation because You don’t want anyone to perish without You. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 13 January 2024 by Valerie Routhieaux The image belongs to me.

Very encouraging, yet the thought of the mark is scary. Thanks for praying for us.

With patience, also comes forbearance I think, or self-control. We should not allow ourselves to be persuaded against God, and his plan, but wait patiently for its fulfilment, in God's own way.
