An ingenious bird!

I really laughed when I saw this. I was at a large supermarket (Sainsbury’s) where there is an escalator which connects shoppers to the upper floor and also to the adjacent multi-storey car park.
The outside of the glass wall is embellished with the name ‘Sainsbury’s’ in large letters, all of which are bristling with rows of spikes to protect them from birds, mainly pigeons, perching there.
But some smaller bird, most likely a blackbird I think, saw an opportunity to build a nest in an impregnable spot! Truly inaccessible to cats, rats, birds of prey and humans.
I wish I had been there in the spring when it was in use. I would love to have seen a smug bird sitting on eggs there as shoppers, mostly oblivious, passed by on the other side of the glass : )

It seems as if the small bird knew the saying "the most dangerous place is the safest place" !

@Fleura Sometimes things people least expect to happen would happen.
