Firstly, worry about a fire then a storm hits

There have been bad bushfires in Western Australia and my sister evacuated to our place for two nights just to be on the safe side.
However, the day after we took her home, a big storm came through her area and brought down a lot of trees on the properties there and along the roads. In the middle of the storm, they had an inch of rain in half an hour. Within an hour the temperature was back to 40C so it is very steamy there now.
The lightning started more fires in country areas. The photo was taken by my nephew.

Ouch! I can imagine the double pain of the storm damage AND the stifling heat after the rain.
I hope there’s no significant damage to their home or property!

So sorry about the storm. That's real bad about starting more fires

Glad at least your sister is all right. That certainly is not good and I hope those fires get put out soon,

That's not good. We're a lot of the bush fires started because of the high temps? I've heard that can happen sometimes.
Is your sister still heading home after the two days? I hope nothing major in her property was damaged.

@JudyEv that's better than her property catching in fire.

Where my sister lives, it's very sandy and the water soaks in really quickly.

Hope you all are safe and the storm didn't hurt you. It's really depressing to see so much of devastation.

Oh, my! It looks as if a tornado went through. And I thought the wind here was bad. Who is that in the picture?

I am so sorry for what she is going through right now.
Nature's cruel path of destruction rearing its ugly head on her property.
I hope that in time, when it is safe to return her family can begin the clean up process.
It is too bad that so much of our world is burning up from wildfires, we had alot of them last summer here.
