Dead Battery

I went out as promised as soon as it was daylight to start the car. I closed the trunk, and got in and turned the ignition. Not even a click.
So .....
I planned to get rid of the car in March because it has too many issues and can't be fixed anymore. If I can get it jumped and working, that would be good. Otherwise, I'm going to call an organization that takes vehicles and be done with the car. I'm tired of its headaches.
I think I could actually take a nap now that I don't have the car to worry about anymore.
I already talked to my son about the car and my plans to get rid of it. True, this time he was half asleep when I called. Normally, at the time I called, he's on the road working.
It's time to put this situation in God's hands and let Him work out the details.
How is your day going? Are you finding detours in your plans? Thanks for reading. The image belongs to me.

@just4him well that would be helpful if your can get it found again. Will it start to get above freezing for the wind chill there next week?

I am sorry that your vehicle is causing you gried.
My hubs took his SUV in last autumn for something, and they suggested another 'fix' for it, and he said no thanks, I don't need this vehicle, and the mechanic explained that he sold used cars wholesale and offered him almost $10K right on the spot. He didn't take it, but he knows where he will go when he needs to get rid of it.

We've taken many vehicles to the salvage yard in the areas. Sometimes they'll even pay you something for it. I think the metal and parts might be worth something to them. It would depend on how your could transport it. You'd also want to find out first who might take it.

@just4him no, I've never heard of that. That's great that they'll pick it up and fix it.
Have your been saving money for a newer car for yourself?

@MarshaMusselman I'm working on it. It's hard to save when the only money is SS.
My son has a plan to get a car for me. I talked to him a short while ago, and he said to wait until after he gets the taxes taken care of. I can do that.

This cold weather has been awful for batteries. I wish you well on getting it gone.

Four years ago I had a Van that had lots of issues. I looked it up online for places around my area that would pick up junk cars for cash. I found a place online and they were real prompt. I didn't get much cash. But I got something and I was grateful to get that problem off my hands quickly. Search online and see what you can find near where you live.

A jump start might fix it since you did leave the trunk open. If it was open enough for the light to be on that would do it. Especially in the cold

That's a shame, but maybe it wasn't a good time
to be out on the streets anyway, from the looks of it
That's the best way to handle the situation any day
God will take care of you as he has always done.
