Day 3 – Plan of Salvation Genesis 3:1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the LORD God (Jehovah Elohiym) had made. He said unto the woman, “Yea, hath God (Elohiym) said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden?’” 2 The woman said unto the serpent, “We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3 but of the fruit of the tree in the middle of the garden, God (Elohiym) said, ‘You shall not eat of it, neither shall you touch it, lest ye die.’” 4 The serpent said unto the woman, “You will not surely die. 5 For God (Elohiym) knows that in the day you eat thereof, then your eyes will be opened, and you will be as gods, knowing good and evil.” 6 When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and ate, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. 7 Then their eyes were opened, and they knew they were naked; they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves aprons. 8 Then they heard the voice of the LORD God (Jehovah Elohiym) walking in the garden in the cool of the day, and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God (Jehovah Elohiym) amongst the trees of the garden. 9 The LORD God (Jehovah Elohiym) called unto Adam, and said unto him, “Where are you?” 10 He said, “I heard Your voice in the garden, and I was afraid, because I was naked; and I hid myself.” 11 Then He said, “Who told you that you were naked? Have you eaten of the tree, whereof I commanded you not to eat?” 12 Then the man said, “The woman whom You gave to be with me, she gave me of the tree, and I ate.” 13 Then the LORD God (Jehovah Elohiym) said unto the woman, “What is this that thou have done?” The woman said, “The serpent beguiled me, and I ate.” 14 Then the LORD God (Jehovah Elohiym) said unto the serpent, “Because thou did this, you are cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon your belly will you go, and dust will you eat all the days of thy life. 15 I will put enmity between you and the woman, and between your seed and her seed; it will bruise your head, and you will bruise His heel.” 16 Unto the woman he said, “I will greatly multiply your sorrow and your conception; in sorrow you will bring forth children; and your desire will be to your husband, and he will rule over you.” 17 Unto Adam he said, “Because you listened unto the voice of your wife, and ate of the tree, I commanded you, saying, ‘Thou will not eat of it; cursed is the ground for your sake; in sorrow will you eat of it all the days of thy life. 18 Both thorns and thistles will it bring forth to you; and you will eat the herb of the field. 19 In the sweat of your face will you eat bread, till you return unto the ground; for out of it you were taken; for dust you are, and unto dust you will return.” 20 Adam called his wife’s name Eve, because she was the mother of all living. 21 Unto Adam also and to his wife the LORD God (Jehovah Elohiym) made coats of skins and clothed them. 22 Then the LORD God (Jehovah Elohiym) said, “Behold, the man has become like one of Us, to know good and evil. Now, before he puts forth his hand, and takes from the tree of life, and eats, and lives forever”— 23 Therefore, the LORD God (Jehovah Elohiym) sent him from the garden of Eden, to till the ground from whence he was taken. 24 So, He drove out the man; and placed cherubim at the east of the garden of Eden, with a flaming sword which turned every way, to keep the way of the tree of life. Jehovah Elohiym – self-existent, eternal, mighty God Character – Judge Everything was perfect. Adam and Eve had wisdom and knowledge about everything. Then along came the snake, who convinced them they knew nothing unless they ate the fruit God (Elohiym) told them not to eat. He also convinced them they wouldn’t die, but they would be like God (Elohiym). What would you do? People listen to lies every day, convinced they hear the truth. A few twisted words and the con has them eating out of their hands. There is no better con artist than Satan who convinced Adam and Eve they would be like God (Elohiym), knowing good and evil. He literally had them eating out of his hands. Satan also never called God (Elohiym) LORD (Jehovah). To do so would be to acknowledge that he was not self-existent, but a created being. Jehovah Elohiym pronounced judgment on those He formed and created. Remember Jehovah Elohiym created the snake, Lucifer, a fallen angel, but He formed Adam from the dust of the ground. Isaiah 14:12 “How you have fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! How you are cut down to the ground, you who weakened the nations! 13 For you said in your heart, ‘I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of God; I will also sit on the mount of the congregation on the farthest sides of the north; 14 I will ascend above the heights of the clouds, I will be like the Most-High (Elyown, el-yone).’” Elyown – Supreme Lucifer wanted God’s (Elohiym’s) position. Therefore, he conned Adam and Eve into believing God (Elohiym) didn’t tell them the truth. Because Satan lied to Adam and Eve, Jehovah Elohiym needed to pronounce judgment against the snake, Lucifer, Satan, and Adam and Eve. Revelation 12:9 So, the great dragon was cast out, that serpent of old, called the Devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was cast to the earth, and his angels were cast out with him. In Jehovah Elohiym’s judgment, He gave Adam and Eve His plan of salvation. From her seed would come the promised Messiah (Mashiyach, maw-shee'-akh). Mashiyach – anointed. Jehovah Elohiym’s judgment also meant Adam and Eve would work by the sweat of his brow and she would bear children in agony. You know the truth of Jehovah Elohiym’s judgment. Childbirth isn’t easy, and work is difficult. How do you protect yourself from con artists who want to take everything from you? Satan took Adam and Eve’s innocence from them. He caused them pain and suffering. They knew the truth, but they took their eyes off the truth and heard a few twisted words that convinced them they didn’t know everything as Elohiym did and they ate the fruit; believed the lie. One way to protect yourself from lies is to learn everything you can from the source of truth. When you know the truth, you won’t believe everything the media, your friends, and especially strangers tell you. You will know the truth and the truth will set you free. John 8:32 “You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free.” 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to show yourself approved to God (Theos, theh'-os), a worker who needs not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. Theos – Deity, Supreme Divinity When you study Jehovah Elohiym’s Word, you will know the truth and Satan cannot convince you with his lies. Let’s pray: Father, help me study Your word, so I will understand the truth from the lie in everything I hear. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. It is interesting that God made clothes for them, but after that first set of clothes, perhaps they then had to make their own clothes, after that. God must have liked his creation of the Garden of Eden to enjoy evening walks in there,

Yes, He did. Yes, I'm sure they made their own clothes from animal skins.

@just4him Yes, they had the knowledge that they needed to be clothed. It is interesting that people once thought that primitive societies like the Australian Aboriginals lived their lives without clothes, and yet we now know that they did have clothes too. "The Aboriginal people would often use bark, grass and leaves to cover their bodies. The men would wear a riji, and this was an item of clothing that went around their waist. It was tied together by grass and leaves. In the cooler parts of Australia, the Aboriginal people would wear possum cloaks." (From an Aboriginal Culture Information Handout.)
