ElliQ for Elders: Grab It or Take It?!?

Intuition Robotics created an innovative AI robot called ElliQ and designed it for the elderly across America's territory to combat loneliness. The features are not like those of a humanoid robot that we see in films. It appeared to be like a lampshade and could rotate its head. It looks so appealing to me if it were created like robots like Robot Sophia. Do you believe that in the near future, companion robots will be everywhere? Image Credit: wshu.org

It appears that the gadgets that were used in the cartoon series "The Jetsons" will be a reality.

It means that technology is getting better and better now. For me, I wish could have an AI robot.

This sounds very much like the movie Robot and Frank where a son bought a robot to keep his lonely father company. I think it is sad that friends and family get replaced by technology. Our elders are not a big priority like they were in the past.

I hope that lonely people can find HUMANS to interact with them. I am not interested in talking to a robot.

I agree. This is how we did to our granny. We always ready to listen and talk with her until she passed away.

@Shavkat My mother wanted to talk to me every day. She also had friends who visited her regularly. They do not want to talk to a machine.

Most likely they will get common but I'd rather have the company of my cats,

I would love to have a robot or two, but I am fine with my two chihuahua boys in the house. They are my happiness.
