Good afternoon.

Last night was a bit rough. George is actually still in bed. I'll let him stay there for as long as he wants, because it took me two hours to get him there last night. He had a rough day and night last night where he wound up sleeping on the couch and had no energy. I managed to get his tube feedings in, including the one this morning. As long as he's propped up for those, it's fine. Because George had a hard time of it yesterday, and slept in, I had the nurse check him over in bed. I didn't bother getting him up and dressed. That would've taken to long. I will make an effort for him to be up later this afternoon and hopefully get him sipping on something before his speech therapist comes. So, that's my morning and plans for the day. Oh, and did I mention Mother Nature decided to remind me I'm still capable of getting pregnant?

Sleep is healing, so it's good he is getting some extra sleep. If the nurse would have suspected anything was wrong, I'm sure she would have told you about it. I hope the rest of the day goes smoothly and well for you and for George.

At first I was worried because I couldn't get anything down him orely yesterday. I did however, witness him drink a few sips of Pepsi and managed to get him up, out of bed and dressed. He spent about an hour in the sun. But, you're right. If the nurse suspected anything, she would've told me to take him to the hospital or something.

@MarieCoyle He's never been a big eater to begin with. The tube feeds ensure he geets all that he needs.

@kaylachan If it was more than one day, I know it would be concerning. But once in awhile, everyone has a day that they are just not very hungry, I know I do.

You are doing your very best, I have to give you so much credit. Dang that Mother Nature, she needs to cut you some slack.

Yeah, I do a lot. I am not going to pretend otherwise. I'm thankful for what I can do.

@kaylachan You do more than alot of us could. I particularly admire your strength of character, you do not pretend that it is easy, and you have put your own needs on the back burner. George is lucky to have you.

If there is one thing I love about menopause is that we do not have anymore that monthly problem.

I'm sorry George had a rough day and stayed in bed. I hope today will be better. Mother Nature can be tricky at times.

You are doing well. Take care of yourself, too. Do you still want to get pregnant?

Being a full time care giver is hard, but also rewarding. Letting George sleep in is the best you can do for him because it sounds like he needs it.

Little rough huh? Sorry to hear that. Pregnant? Why would that come up? Do you want to be?

That is what all this is going to take a lot of patience. I am sure George appreciates your understanding and is glad you are helping him. Congratulations proves that age is but a number and glad your years have rolled back. Many blessings to you both.
