Today's trip to the big Tesco.

We went to the big Tesco again this afternoon. I was going to post some letters in the post box in Tesco, but as we were coming into the Tesco car park I realised I'd forgotten them! I put the soft plastic recycle in the recycle receptacle, then found a trolley. I made sure I checked that it didn't have a wonky wheel today! First thing I did when I got into the main shop was get a Doctor Who magazine. I saw a massive cuddly stuffed koala that cost £28! I fell in love with him.and had to cuddle him! He was massive! Anyway I got a bottle of water, and 2 prawn layered salads. My Mum got a Valentine's card for my step-dad. Then I went and got some soothers for my step-dad, and some panty liners for me, and I also managed to get some pads for my Mum! Then we went to the fruit and veg section. I got some garlic, blueberries, two lots of spring onions (one lot for my Japanese style pancakes next Tuesday), and a red pepper. My Mum got some lettuce. Then I went and got a lemon, and my Mum got some bananas. Then I went and got a savoy lettuce for my Japanese style pancakes, a different kind of stir fry, which actually has edamame beans in it, and some extra edamame beans. I won't put the extra edamame beans in with the stir fry this time, because it already has edamame beans in, I'll have them.separately at a different time instead. Then I went and got my yoghurts, and Mum got 3 bottles of milk today. Then she got her puddings for Sunday. I got some sliced red Leicester cheese for my Mum, and then we went and got some sliced gherkins and beetroot. We went and got our ready meals and stuff next. I got the usual things. I got beetroot falafel this week, and some sweet potato lattices. My Mum got her own ready meals. I got some mirin, and Mum got some microwave egg fried rice. I got some brown and wild rice. Then we went to the cakes. I got my usual vegan cakes, and Mum got some long cream donuts for her and my step-dad for their supper tonight. My Mum was also taking the cakes for tonight's Life Group, so she got several different kinds. Then my Mum said my step-dad wanted a pot noodle, and we'd already gone past them so we had to go back and get that. We didn't need to get any crisps today, so we went straight to the teas and coffees isle, and Mum got some chocolate digestives for my step-dad. I got my sea salt flavoured Love, Corn. Then we went to the frozen isle, and Mum got some peas, fish fingers, chips and pies. I got the battered cod. The salmon things were STILL temporarily out of stock! We then went to the till and payed. I didn't catch how much it cost. We went and sat on a bench for a bit, because it was still only 4:05pm. I didn't have a book to swap today. When it was about 4:25pm, we went down on the lift. My step-dad wasn't there yet, so we sat on a bench again. My step-dad was five minutes late. When we got back from the shop we took the bags out of the boot and put them.in the kitchen. Then I told my Mum that I was going to the post box to post my letters. It didn't take me ten minutes. When I came back from posting my letters I helped my Mum to unpack the groceries and put them away. Then I had my dinner. After that I put the recycle out ready for tomorrow. My Mum said that they'd phoned up to say that tomorrow's luncheon club has been cancelled because of the snow that has been forecast! I didn't even know that any snow had been forecast! It means I will have to do some painting and then pack everything up again so that my Mum and step-dad can use the table for dinner, and then put everything back again after dinner to do some more painting! But I hope it doesn't snow anyway! Frances was a bit late picking my Mum up for the Life Group. I thought she wasn't going to come! But she eventually came at about 7:25pm. She's gone now with a Tesco bag full of cakes! What have you lot been getting up to today? I hope you are all well. Have a great night.

You're welcome and thank you very much. It's pouring it down with rain here, but no snow - yet! I hope it doesn't come at all! Parts of Wales are going to have it, and Scotland and the North of England. I'm told we're just on the border of where the snow should be!

@celticeagle When I said I wss on the border I meant where the snow would be, not geographically. Just North of us it was snowing. In fact I saw on the news that it was snowing in Derbyshire which isn't very far away from us! Way up in Scotland they have plenty of snow. Bristol is just on the border with Wales geographically. It would take about 2 1/2 hours to get to Wales.

I am working on sharing good news stories on this site as well as completing surveys today working at home.

@sharonelton It happens to me as well that most surveys that I attempt to complete I fail to complete.

@Deepizzaguy Yes, it's very frustrating when that happens!

I hope you are having a good time doing that. I've just done a survey. Most of them were you didn't qualify, or your device is not compatible with this survey, blah blah blah!

@sharonelton I my new home town of Larne there is only a Tesco Express - no big Tesco, and I feel bereft. There is just Asda and Lidl. I made salmon with couscous tonight and it turned out awfully.

Oh, no! I'm sorry you no.longer have a big Tesco near you. How far away is your nearest big Tesco? I don't really like Asda and Lidl. I don't like the atmosphere in there. Oh, the salmon and couscous sounds great. What went wrong?

@sharonelton Atmosphere is awful in Asda and I can’t find anything in Lidl. Nearest big Tesco is 20 miles away. I think the pan was too hot for the salmon and I put too much water in the couscous. Don’t know what to cook for Thursday’s dinner.

@xFiacre Yes, I know what you mean. I think I've only been in once and it felt kind of like overbearing. I don't know if you'd agree with me. How did it feel to you? That's a long way to go to a big Tesco. Oh, dear. I'm sorry to hear that. Yes, I know what it's like to put too much water in the couscous but I found out by trial and error how much water to put in to how much couscous. What did you end up eating for today's dinner?

@just4him Yes, I'm going to have to find some excuses to do it more often - when it's not raining or snowing that is!

Thank you for taking us along on your shopping trip. S**W?!!! Oh no. Here in Ohio it's unseasonably warm with no chance of the white stuff. Have a good day.

@LindaOHio I hope you don't get any snow. We didn't get any snow today. It was in the North of England, Scotland and North Wales but it missed us and I hope it stays that way!

My pleasure, I'm glad you could come along. As it turns out, we didn't have any snow. Unless it's yet to come. But they cancelled the luncheon club for no reason as it happens! I wish we were warm here like you! I'm having a good day, thank you very much. I hope you are too.
