A huge step forward.

I just hope it continues... For context, ever since the hospital, George has been largely incontant. I have him wearing disposable underwear. Today we made a huge step forward in regaining his independance in that area. In the month at hhome, he's made it to the restroom a handful of times, but never twice in the same day. In addation to that, He woke up soaked as usual, I still had to change his peg tube dressing because it's wet, but he wasn't as soaked as he normally is. His voice is quiet, but he's speaking much more clearly, too. I'm able to understand him a lot more clearly. He still struggles when he's overly tired, but he's doing much better. I guess all that extra sleep is just what he needed to jumpstart his brain.

Yes, I'd been concerned when I needed a crowbar to get him out of bed last week, but this week he seems to be doing well.

I think being at home helps brain injuries, like strokes heal faster.I am glad you are having some successes.

I agree. He still has his moments, but he's much improved. I think all that extra sleep did him a world of good.

It must be very hard for an adult to have these personal issues. I hope he continues to improve. Sleep is a healer.
