except I sure got some walking in! I'll try to skip a lot of "details" so that this post won't be a novel.
After texting my friend my usual morning text, I tried doing something else with my phone, and it was frozen.
The only way to get ahold of my phone service is via phone (while they have a website, they don't have an email!).
So, I went across the street and across the parking lot to the Staples office supply store, but was told they no longer fixed phones, and was given a business card for a guy downtown.
I hopped a bus downtown, but I rarely go over there so I don't know my way around super well. I did some wandering around for half an hour trying to find the address on the card, without success. I started to ask a guy on the street, but he said "No clue" before I got the question all the way out of my mouth.
I stopped in a restaurant that wasn't quite open, and asked a young man in there. Then a lady came up and said, "We're not open." and the young man explained I was asking for directions. The lady came out of the restaurant and told me which way to go and where to turn. I did, and found the place pretty easily. Unfortunately, the young man in the phone store didn't recognize my phone brand, and couldn't really help me.
After that I found my way back to the bus stop so I could head home. I was starting to wear out.
After I got home, I went to one neighbors, and she was in the middle of a meeting on her phone or on line or something. The only other neighbor I talk to very frequently wasn't home, neither was the one I tried upstairs from me.
Finally I went to the office and explained my problem. The younger of the ladies there said that I could come in and use their phone anytime, and so I got ahold of the wireless people and explained my problem, and I was told that because my phone was under warranty I wouldn't have to pay for a new one, and a new phone would be coming in 3-5 business days. That's still longer than I would care for it to come, as I'm expecting a couple of important phone calls, but I guess it will have to do.
I looked on ebay a minute ago and even found a cover/screen protector that will probably fit this goofy phone. I won't get it until I have the phone, though.
Now, I need to post this because it's turning into a short story if not a novel.
Hope your morning/afternoon/evening/etc. is going well in your part of myLot land!

Sorry to hear about your phone. Do you know how to do a hard reset? Those typically resolve problems.

No, but I'm getting a new phone anyway--just have to wait a week.

@xstitcher Simply hold down the sleep/wake/side button and one of the volume buttons until the phone's manufacture splash screen appears. You'll have a phone until the new one arrive, if it works.

I sure don't. So far the only good thing about this program is that the minutes and texts are free.

Do you have to send the other phone back to them. That is great they are sending you a new phone.

I am doing my best to enjoy my work at home sharing good news stories as well as completing surveys today which is Mardi Gras.

Good that your phone was covered under warranty and you will be getting a new phone in a few daya.
