We Will Be Visiting My Daughter's Family, Soon

Our daughter is 49 years old and she lives with her husband, Christian and their twelve year old daughter, Aubrey. Mari Lyn works as a nurse practitioner, in a
physician's office down by Detroit.
Christian is a police sergeant in a small town, nearby where they live.
Kaitlyn will be turning 22 on February 21st. So, we will be taking her gift and leaving it at my daughter's home.
Aubrey is into the equestrian sport. She has been taking horseback riding lessons since she was three years old. Hey, that girl is really serious about this activity! She wanted to teach Grandma how to ride on horseback. I wonder how that will pan out! lol
We still aren't sure what day we will be visiting them. The Michigan weather will determine this, of course. We got a snow storm last night, maybe about four-five inches. For Tawas, that's really not a heavy storm. This winter has been quite mild, so far.

Hi, Kharla. I am glad to see you are ok and are here again!! I’m sure you will enjoy seeing your family as soon as the weather cooperates.
It’s been an odd winter here as well. More ice than snow. Supposedly we will have some snow tomorrow, time will tell.

Marie it is wonderful to hear from you again, also! You have been an excellent friend, we've shared a lot of enjoyment here on My Lot:) Our snow storm has stopped but, the sky is filled with dark cumulus clouds, probably more snow tomorrow. February has been surprisingly warmer, up into the 40s-50s until yesterday.

I'm just very glad to ''see'' you again. Many have wondered where you went, but I figured you were just taking a break. We all do that sometimes.
It's supposed to snow hard tomorrow morning for a few hours, but that's ok, hopefully I will not have to go anywhere and can stay home.

@MarieCoyle We didn't have Internet Service, so my computer was just sitting on the desk. Now, we have a place to rent, so I'm back online until we move again. I love communication with friends, on My Lot.

Aubrey has been competing in this sport. At this time(12 years old)she is tied for first place, in the nation. I'm not certain how this is determined, but I'm very proud of her! Their family is in Indiana this weekend, for another competition Aubrey is participating in. If they sent photos, I'll be sharing them on My Lot:)

I always wanted to own a horse, but we never lived in the country where it could live. Now, I don't want to own a horse, but Aubrey is very much loving this sport!

Oh Kharla, I am so very happy to read your post. I've missed you-you sound like you have been busy as ever with the family. 
I know just what you mean about paying attention to the weather before going out, we are the same way.
I hope that you are safe and did not get too bad of a storm last night.
We had a bit of snow yesterday, but not alot in the city.
There is something to be said about 'having' to stay in together because of the weather, it can lend for a very cozy day.

The snow storm wasn't real harsh, like Michigan usually gets in February-March. Everything is plowed out, until the next weather surprise. I'll be the twins are getting big! :)

Yes, we did get some snow, but not a heavy accumulation like most winters in Michigan. By March, we will be experiencing more sunshine and springlike weather. Take care, Ron:)

The lot was purchased is quite small, which is all we needed. Thus, there will be very little lawn to mow. Jay bought a riding lawn mower, that will be nice for sure!

What winter? With the exception of a very cold spell in January, our winter has been mild and rainy. I was hoping to see some flurries but nope, not this year. It's supposed to turn colder for the weekend, highs in the 40s which is normal. We've been in the mid 50s to 60 pretty much every day.

Our winter was mild, but in January it got fairly cold, temperatures in the single digits. Now, it's warmer, in the 30s, which is high for February in Michigan.
