The good bad & the ugly (pancreas issues)

For those that know what I've been through with my health here's something that I keep on my mind every single day. I worry about what my health is doing since I've been home & now I worry about everything that I feel or deal with like when I get the D word (runs) or when I get a pain in my side. I try to stay on top of the foods I eat at home or when I'm out with the husband paying bills, & wants to eat out at some fast food place KNOWING I can't have any of it. I know fast foods aren't good for me I know I have to be careful what I eat, I know my health will probably never be the same as I was B-4 I got sick, I know I may also never get off the meds I'm on which really sucks. I've been taking notes about the good bad & the ugly about how bad this can get if I'm not careful everyday I know I have to take my meds & insulin without fail. Is there something I DON'T KNOW? maybe or maybe not, but the 1 thing I do know is this is nothing to play with, but I also know I'm not going to let it take me down. I know I'm not the only 1 that is dealing with this, so for those that are in the same boat with this health issue don't feel like you have to settle for less in life, I know what your having to deal with & it's a constant fear. If you have anything you would like to know on this, you can do like I'm doing & do a lot of research on what you can & can't eat & take all the notes you can on the matter. When I get back in the cabin I'm going to make me a food list to follow at home & a food list of the foods to buy & keep on hand everyday along with a meal list I will eat. If you have anything to add to this I'm open to suggestions cause like I said I don't know it all & if you do something different I don't know about maybe we can help each other.

@LadyDuck that's what I'm saying, but when it comes to the govt they could care less when your not the "right type of person" they want to just hand out everything on a silver platter, ?? where we have to struggle to get the help we need.

@2ndchances24 I know, believe me that it's not very different in the other countries. You are only good for them if you pay taxes, but they give very little to you.

@2ndchances24 Hope you can find a way to deal with it. My mother has been pre-diabetic for over 10 years and has managed to maintain normal insulin levels through diet and exercise.

Learning is on-going. Every day you learn something new to help you with your health issues. I have my issues too, and am learning how to cope with it so I stay healthy.

I don't think there's a person on this earth that doesn't have a health issue of some sort or another. It's how they determine how to get through it all to either get better or live with it till their last days.

Health can certainly force one to think more about it and change certain aspects of their lives. You seem to be taking the bull by the horns though. It's not easy, but of course, you have to do it.

@2ndchances24 The battle is not over until the last bomb goes off. And you never stop fighting until it does.

I'm trying to get through this the best way I know how but I feel like it's going to be a losing battle, but I'm not going to give up even if it's a losing battle.

What you can do is maintain a journal, if you're not doing that already. For not eating the food you've had your eyes upon, write down your thoughts. The pouring out might make it less demanding. It is something that I too need to do as I have realized that punishing the body by making it sick, is a sin.

I started that the 1st few wks I got home & yes it does help, cause it gives me something read on how well my progress has gone since I got home, I'll make another 1 when I get in the cabin where I have a journal of what I've learned & what it takes to stay on top of this.

@apsmine9 that I don't know about but yes it would be smart to pay more atten on what you eat now days.

@2ndchances24 I have been seeing posts and videos popping up about how food is deliberately being contaminated, adulterated, making it less suitable for consumption. As if as a reminder that I should be more conscious.

I hope so, but I feel like I should be doing more but for some reason it feels like more isn't enough.
