The Grumpy Grandpa in the House

It has been twice in a row that our landlord's father has complained about our twins. He just came back from Alaska and is turning the world upside down here in my place. Our two-year-old twins are really active and given to be naughty at this age. This morning, he complained to his son about this matter. To cut it short, he is a fault-finder, even for the smallest trivial things. I am getting stressed out by this old man. I personally think that he is finding a way for us to leave the apartment. I heard from the son that he is planning to let his mistress live here.  In conclusion, I told our landlord that kids cannot be treated like adults. It is normal for them to create noise during the daytime, unless it is at night, then that is not an excuse. With regards to his speculation about the mistress, I told him that this is unfair. In his words, we just need to wait until next month, and his father will go back to Alaska. It means we are going to endure being with this grumpy grandpa. What do you think, guys? How will you handle a grumpy grandpa? Image Credit: media.istockphoto.com

In my opinion, old people are children in a different way.

At some point, they do. That is why we are trying to understand his regression state as a geriatric individual.

It is normal for kids to play, but it is not normal to create so much noise to become a problem for the neighbors. I grew up with grandparents in our home, my Mom always told me not to make unwanted noise, we can play keeping our "volume" lower. Teach to your twins to be less noisy.

We were trying our best. At their age, I am sure it is still normal to create noise, but not too loud. The grumpy grandpa even scolded his great-grandson in broad daylight because the 2-year-old boy was crying.

@LadyDuck I talked to the landlord's wife. She confirmed that his father-in-law is like this. He can see everything. I can tell that they are stressed about being with him.

@Shavkat - Well if this man also scold his grandson because he cries, I suppose he is the one who has problems.

I hope it will. I am trying to be as cool as a cucumber because I do not want to say things that even a dog cannot swallow.

I do, my friend. I tried my best not to cross our paths whenever I was going out.
