Waking Up with a Big Sound?!?

I was sound asleep when I heard a big banging sound on the floor at 7:00 a.m. It was the carpenter who was making rooms below us. The landowner's father is really a different soul. At this time, most people are still sleeping. These people are so inconsiderate. It will be more understandable if they do it around 8:00 a.m. It is not only me who woke up so early; even our twin baby girls. How would you feel if you were in my shoes? I would be annoyed, but ignore it to the best of my ability. Contractors tend to get an early start if they can to avoid the heat of the day. Many are on a timeline, too. And, have several projects going at once.

I heard from our landlord's wife that the carpenter arrived and started to work at 8:30 AM. It means the grumpy old grandpa was the one doing it early in the morning.

I agree with you. I even found out that it was not the carpenter who was banging on the ceiling. It was the landlord's grumpy father.

I would be pretty annoyed, and be counting down the days until it was over.

You said it right. It has been four days. I hope they are done with these rooms from yesterday. Let's see if there is a big bang today.

They didn't tell you in advance? well, they maybe want to avoid the heat since it's the summer.

The grumpy father did not say a word. Besides, it is not that hot in my city because I am living in Baguio City. He is just an insensitive soul.

Workers start at 7 in the morning here, we have the habit and we could not even complain. Noises from workers are allowed from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.

I guess he still needs to follow the culture here. Perhaps he was used to working at this time in Alaska. I am sorry to say that it is unacceptable.

@Shavkat Of course, we have rules here and if someone should start even only 10 minutes before they can be reported to the police.

Because of this incident, I did not greet him when I came across him yesterday afternoon.
