I still need to bring in the stuff I bought, but we are home. We left early for Bob's two appointments, and were seen early at both, how is that for a deal. They are putting in the orders for hyperbaric therapy so now I just wait for phone calls to set up the times etc. We went to Cracker Barrel for lunch, then to Newton for shopping and gas. Had to go there because that is where his prescriptions are filled. Bob is napping now and I am unloading the car. I need to put money on my phone and pay the insurance and do a couple more things, besides put away the cold food. I guess I will talk with you later.

I'm glad you left early, and they saw Bob early. I hope you have a good day today.

I read a little about hyperbaric therapy. What do they hope to accomplish with it? I hope you and Bob are doing OK.

It is oxygen under pressure. It causes wounds to heal and is supposed to help with the aftermath of radiation. Bob's problems stem from radiation damage that causes him to bleed internally and scar up to the point he cannot urinate. It also helps recovery from anemia, which has plagued him for about six years.

We hated having the stinking colds for spring break. Not much fun.

We saw the heart surgeon yesterday and he was running at least 45 minutes late. The waiting room was full when we left (5 couples) and it was 6.30pm. He must have an incredible workload.

When Bob got his pacemaker we were told to be in the office at 10 a.m. but procedure would not begin until 2 p.m. What actually happened is emergency heart patients came in all day by helicopter or ambulance and Bob got his pacemaker at 7:00 p.m. Those emergencies have to come first and the mess up schedules left and right.

@GardenGerty We expected to wait quite a while but I hope he didn't have a wife at home trying to keep his dinner hot.

I am so glad he will finally be getting to try the hyperbaric chamber. I have high hopes for that from all the great things I have heard.

I guess I do not really count on it until after the consult April 1. But at least that is scheduled and I am able to be with him for that.

What does the hyperbaric chamber do? Is it supposed to give you oxygen and encourage healing? What did you get at C barrel?
