Day 59 – Get Ready Exodus 11:1 JEHOVAH said to Moses, “I will bring yet one more plague on Pharaoh and on Egypt. Afterward he will let you go from here. When he lets you go, he will drive you out of here altogether. 2 Speak now in the hearing of the people, and let every man ask from his neighbor and every woman from her neighbor, articles of silver and articles of gold.” 3 JEHOVAH gave the people favor in the sight of the Egyptians. Moreover, the man Moses was very great in the land of Egypt, in the sight of Pharaoh’s servants and in the sight of the people. 4 Then Moses said, “Thus says JEHOVAH, ‘About midnight I will go out into the midst of Egypt; 5 and all the firstborn in the land of Egypt will die, from the firstborn of Pharaoh who sits on his throne, even to the firstborn of the female servant who is behind the hand mill, and all the firstborn of the animals. 6 Then there will be a great cry throughout all the land of Egypt, such as was not like it before, nor will be like it again. 7 Against none of the children of Israel will a dog move its tongue, against man or beast, that you may know that JEHOVAH makes a difference between the Egyptians and Israel.’ 8 All your servants will come down to me and bow down to me, saying, ‘Get out, and all the people who follow you!’ After that I will go out.” Then he went out from Pharaoh in great anger. 9 JEHOVAH said to Moses, “Pharaoh will not heed you, so that My wonders may be multiplied in the land of Egypt.” 10 Moses and Aaron did all these wonders before Pharaoh; and JEHOVAH hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he did not let the children of Israel go out of his land. God’s name: JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal Elohiym – Mighty God Yeshuwa – Jesus God’s character: Judge Merciful Mashiyach – Savior Lord - Master Are you so hard of hearing that you don’t listen when someone tells you the worst trouble you could imagine will soon happen to you? People ignore the signs around them, believing nothing bad would ever happen to them. They believe it would happen to others, but not to them. JEHOVAH told Moses and Aaron He would bring one more plague against Egypt, death of the firstborn from Pharaoh’s throne to the servant, but no one would die among the Israelites, not even among the animals and beasts. Moses warned Pharaoh about what JEHOVAH intended, but he wouldn’t listen, and hardened his heart. Are you ready? Two thousand years ago, Elohiym sent His Son, Yeshuwa, as your Mashiyach and Lord. His death, burial, and resurrection assured your salvation. When He returned to heaven, He promised to return. When Yeshuwa returns, He will take His people to Himself and bring judgment with Him against everyone who rejected Him and would not listen to the promised retribution He would bring on all those left behind. They would face seven years of Tribulation such as has not been seen since the plagues of Egypt. In His discourse, Yeshuwa told His disciples what would take place in the end times. Matthew 24:21 “For then there will be great tribulation, such as has not been since the beginning of the world until this time, no, nor ever will be. 22 Unless those days were shortened, no flesh would be saved; but for the elect’s sake those days will be shortened.” People will accept Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord during the Tribulation. They will know Him and what He came to do for them. For their sake the Tribulation will be shortened. What about you? Are your ears deaf as Pharaoh’s were? Or have you accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord? Will you go with Jesus when He returns for His church, or will you be left behind to suffer during the Tribulation, to suffer as the Egyptians did because they refused to acknowledge JEHOVAH? Get ready, Jesus is coming back. Let’s pray: Father, open my eyes and ears to Your truth. Let me prepare my heart and mind for Your Son’s return. Don’t let me turn a deaf ear to Your promised Tribulation against all those who reject Your Son as Savior and Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.
