...be friendly today. As usual, I wake up at 5:30 AM to prepare my niece's packed lunch. All of a sudden, a figure came in front of my kitchen's window. Guess what? It is the grumpy old man. There is no confrontation or anything. He just offered a ride for the kid and my younger brother to go to the city proper. Unfortunately, it is too early for them to go with him. It seems like he is trying to get acquainted with us and be friendly. Thus, silent treatment is an effective way to tame a grumpy individual.
Do you sometimes use silent treatment for others to change?

He will be gone soon right?
Yes I don't talk to those that I dislike.

I have, but I have not expected others to change. So, I don't know about change. I have done it if I just hadn't felt like talking to someone.

I gave the silent treatment to my mother a few days ago because I was very mad at her. I'm no longer mad at her.
