I Misplaced My Library Book

This afternoon, I stopped by the East Tawas Library for another book. I enjoyed a visit with two of the ladies, who work there. Then, I went into City Hall(in the same building) to use the lady's bathroom.
I laid my library book on the toilet paper holder. After I got home, I'd misplaced that library book! I was so sure that I'd brought it home.
After scrambling around for a bit, I found it beneath the teddy bear, that sits in the passenger's seat of my Jeep!
Am I getting forgetful? Oh my gosh, another crazy mistake under my belt lol

I have left a wallet on the TP holder in Aldi once, and did not know it until I was checking out.

Glad you found it!! When it came time to return the kids' library books, I often had heart attacks because I wouldn't be able to find a couple books. They'd eventually be found, but after tearing up the place
. What a relief to find them

Like I said, losing a book is no big deal. But, losing a library book, this is totally different!

@kobesbuddy Right - it means $ - plus it shows we weren't responsible with a borrowed book

I'm glad you found your book. One of the joys of getting older is not remembering where we put something. Have a good weekend.

It's not that we are getting forgetful. I think life gets too busy sometimes.

I hate it when I think I have lost something, look around the house for it and then realize it was right out in the open the whole time

It's not serious, with any ole book. But a library book, this is a lot different!

Glad you found the book, Happens to all of us. It is the fast life and too my thoughts coming at once that get us confused. I often do something simple like pour myself some iced tea, Then the cats demand their food etc I get back to my PC and Where is my iced tea? Back in the kitchen on the counter completely forgotten because the cats derailed me once again

I will snap open a nice, cold carbonated drink. Then, turn around and fix myself a cup of coffee!

Misplacing a library book would be a big deal for me too. I'm glad you found it. I have a heap of books waiting to be read but only one is from our library and there are no problems with that. You can just return the books whenever.

It happens to me sometimes when I leave my scissors or batteries inside of a drawer near my bed only to find out that I left my scissors in the drawer next to my computer.
