Today's still life - Work in progress.

This is today's work in progress. A still life of a bowl of apples and a vase of flowers, painted on a square canvas. I started by painting in the pink placemat on the table. I used some of the acrylic paints my friend Yasmin gave me yesterday. I used a mixture of deep red and white to make the pink. The white was a bit thick but it was useable. I don't know how old the paints were that she gave me. As it was a box canvas I painted part of the bottom in the pink aswell. I left that upside down to dry and went and cut off the ends of some flowers that my Mum had put in vases, but she'd left them too long. After that I made a cup.of camomile tea while I washed up. I'd already had my lunch. When the pink had dried I went back and painted white in some of the areas, and added streaks of blue and red in the bottom right hand corner. I did the same on the edge and underneath aswell. I left that to dry and went in my bedroom to read a book. Then I had my dinner and watched some telly. Later I went back to my painting and painted the green trees that you can see through the window using different shades of green. I painted the top of the canvas with the green colour too, leaving gaps where the window frames should be. While that was drying I painted the red areas of the bowl, at the bottom and on the rim. Then I painted some areas of the flowers in vermilion, and added white to make the lighter area in the one flower. Darker shades of red will be added later. I used a lighter green than I'd used for the trees and added white and a little yellow to get the right colour for a few of the apples and the top area of the bowl. Then I decided to leave it to dry and finish it another day. What have you lot been getting up to today? I hope you are all well. Have a great night.
