I was out in the garage today, getting the padding I use to cover George's side of the bed, when I heard fire crackers go off. It was only one, but I was still surprised by it. Startle reflexes can suck. That being said it's not unusal for some idiot to fire them off year-round. I often gets alerts on my phone from the ring app about so-called gunshots, because people can't tell the difference. But, then thease are the same people who freak out when they see any form of police activity so.... Don't get me wrong, I love fireworks. I've been going to the beach the last couple of years for the forth of July. I just wasn't expecting it. In April.

I like fireworks, professional fireworks, I do not like fire crakers, they scare wild animals and I am glad they are banned here.

They are banned in most places. Doesn't mean you can't get your hands on them.

@LadyDuck People in the U.S. could care less about any of the fines or whatever we impose. We have a lot of people who know how to worm their way out of anything. We have laws and bans, sure, but they only help to keep already honest people, honest.

@kaylachan The fine is very high if they get you here, and they get you will all the drones they use to monitor this area close to the Italian border.

Sometimes we have to find a balance. As I said in my discussion, I actually love fireworks. It usually doesn't bother me. I just don't expect them to go off in April, but there was someone who apparently had one I k ow there are those who have sensory disorders, but it's up to them to learn to adapt and adjust to the world around them. The would shouldn't have to stop turning because you're bothered by a noise.
