About 9am this morning my drug dealer (CVS) called me to let me know he has what I need ready. Then the phone rang again..it was the office of my cardiac doctor calling to tell me that the elevators are not working real good...that I might have to walk up 3 flight of stairs. OR she could reschedule me. I told her I had not seen a heart doctor in over 1 and a half years, and did not want to wait. I went a little early, just in case I would have to take the stairs. but..
When I got inside the building, 3 other people were taking the elevator, so I didn't feel alone..LOL. But when the doors closed it was scary...they did NOT sound right..sounded like something was in the channel of the door...Got up to the 3rd floor, and it shook when it stopped. Was so glad to get off.
My BP was like 176/89. The nurse asked if I had smoked a cigarette on the way..of COURSE I did..calm my nerves. She smiled and whispered next time don't smoke one on the way, your BP will be lower. Will make a post later about what my lady Cardiologist told me. She would not let me leave until I had another BP test. If it was still high she was going to up my meds. But it was 136/79...so I was good to go Back to the elevator.
This time I was on my own. When it got to the 1st floor...it bumped hard twice. When the doors opened...I ran out of there. LOL About run over a lady standing in front of the doors. LOL I don't like elevators anyway...have seen too many shows/movies where they FALL to the basement! LOL Later

I am glad you made it both ways on the elevator. I would run out too and get as far as I could from that building.

Might as well have taken those stairs and your bp probably would've been lower. LOL caradic activity before a bp test will never end well. I'm glad your numbers returned to normal after appoitment's end.

The elevator would raise your pressure. I have had to let them retake mine before.

I do have fears of elevators falling down fast to the floor from a top floor like The Omen movies,
