The above picture was made by my adult children for Mother's Day. Before giving it to me they insisted it wasn't a joke. Honestly, I don't think it's a joke. I heard my daughters upstairs creating this masterpiece and nothing touches my heart more than hearing my girls laughing together. It only took them 30 years to come up with this.
They also made me dinner and gave me some chocolate cookies, and chocolates. My weakness is all things chocolate. And my husband bought me flowers. What a nice day.

Before they gave me this gift they stressed vehemently that it was not a joke. Because they said that I was trying not to laugh. But it did made me smile. Sometimes they make me cry. I mean, they're 27 and 31 so when they make me cry they look at each other, fist bump and say "Nailed it." That's their goal, to make me cry.

I expected to be totally forgotten. The night before my daughter asked me what I wanted for dinner that they were going to make it for me.
When I mention it to my husband he says, "You're not my mother." Gee, it sure feels like it.

I think that is a delightful and thoughtful gift. You certainly know you are loved and glad you had such a wonderful day,

I know that it is something that they will never get used to.
