Day 128 – Light
Numbers 8:1 JEHOVAH spoke to Moses, saying, 2 “Speak to Aaron, and say to him, ‘When you arrange the lamps, the seven lamps will give light in front of the lampstand.’”
3 Aaron did so; he arranged the lamps to face toward the front of the lampstand, as JEHOVAH commanded Moses.
4 Now this workmanship of the lampstand was hammered gold; from its shaft to its flowers, it was hammered work. According to the pattern which JEHOVAH had shown Moses, he made the lampstand.
5 Then JEHOVAH spoke to Moses, saying, 6 “Take the Levites from among the children of Israel and cleanse them ceremonially. 7 Thus you will do to them to cleanse them: Sprinkle water of purification on them, and let them shave all their body, and let them wash their clothes, and so make themselves clean. 8 Then let them take a young bull with its grain offering of fine flour mixed with oil, and you will take another young bull as a sin offering. 9 You will bring the Levites before the tabernacle of meeting, and you will gather the whole congregation of the children of Israel. 10 You will bring the Levites before JEHOVAH, and the children of Israel will lay their hands on the Levites; 11 and Aaron will offer the Levites before JEHOVAH, like a wave offering from the children of Israel, that they may perform the work of JEHOVAH. 12 Then the Levites will lay their hands on the heads of the young bulls, and you will offer one as a sin offering and the other as a burnt offering to JEHOVAH, to make atonement for the Levites. 13 You will stand the Levites before Aaron and his sons, and then offer them like a wave offering to JEHOVAH. 14 Thus you will separate the Levites from among the children of Israel, and the Levites will be Mine. 15 After that the Levites will go in to service the tabernacle of meeting. You will cleanse them and offer them, like a wave offering. 16 For they are wholly given to Me from among the children of Israel; I have taken them for Myself instead of all who open the womb, the firstborn of all the children of Israel. 17 For the firstborn among the children of Israel are Mine, both man and beast; on the day I struck the firstborn in the land of Egypt I sanctified them to Myself. 18 I have taken the Levites instead of the firstborn of the children of Israel. 19 I have given the Levites as a gift to Aaron and his sons from among the children of Israel, to do the work for the children of Israel in the tabernacle of meeting, and to make atonement for the children of Israel, that there be no plague among the children of Israel when the children of Israel come near the sanctuary.”
20 Thus Moses and Aaron and the congregation of the children of Israel did to the Levites; according to everything JEHOVAH commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so the children of Israel did to them.
21 the Levites purified themselves and washed their clothes; then Aaron presented them, like a wave offering before JEHOVAH, and Aaron made atonement for them to cleanse them.
22 After that the Levites went in to do their work in the tabernacle of meeting before Aaron and his sons; as JEHOVAH commanded Moses concerning the Levites, so they did to them.
23 Then JEHOVAH spoke to Moses, saying, 24 “This is what pertains to the Levites: From twenty-five years old and above one may enter to perform service in the work of the tabernacle of meeting; 25 and at the age of fifty years they must cease performing this work, and will work no more. 26 They may minister with their brethren in the tabernacle of meeting, to attend to needs, but they themselves will do no work. Thus, you will do to the Levites regarding their duties.”

God’s character:
Light
When you enter a room, the first thing you do is turn on the light. Light allows you to see what you need to do and perform your work well.
JEHOVAH told Moses the first thing Aaron needed to do was to light the lampstand so it would light the sanctuary. He also told Aaron to put the lampstand against the southern side of the sanctuary facing the table of showbread on the north side of the sanctuary. When he lit the lamps on top of the candlestick, it gave light to the sanctuary. The lamps were to burn from night until morning and from morning until night.
Exodus 40:24 He put the lampstand in the tabernacle of meeting, across from the table, on the south side of the tabernacle; 25 and he lit the lamps before JEHOVAH, as JEHOVAH had commanded Moses.
Leviticus 24:4 “He will be in charge of the lamps on the pure gold lampstand before JEHOVAH continually.”
When you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord, you accepted JEHOVAH’S light into your life.
Luke 2:25 Behold, there was a man in Jerusalem whose name was Simeon, and this man was just and devout, waiting for the Paraklesis of Israel, and the Hagios Pneuma was upon him.
26 It had been revealed to him by the Hagios Pneuma that he would not see death before he had seen the Kurios Christos.
27 He came by the Pneuma into the temple. When the parents brought in the Child Iesous, to do for Him according to the custom of the law, 28 he took Him up in his arms and blessed Theos and said: 29 “Lord, now You are letting Your servant depart in peace, according to Your word; 30 for my eyes have seen Your salvation 31 which You have prepared before the face of all peoples, 32 a light to bring revelation to the Gentiles, and the glory of Your people Israel.”
John 1:4 In Him was life, and the life was the light of men. (NKJV)
John 1:7 This man came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light which gives light to every man coming into the world. (NKJV)
John 12:46 “I have come as a light into the world, that whoever believes in Me should not abide in darkness.” (NKJV)
When you have Yeshuwa’s light in you, His light shines continuously in you for the world to see Him in you. Just as the lampstand burned continuously so the children of Israel could see the light in the sanctuary. The lampstand represents Yeshuwa.
Only the Levites could minister in the sanctuary, and only for a certain number of years, from thirty to fifty years. After that they could minister and attend to the needs of the other Levites, but they no longer performed the duties of priest.
For the Levites to minister in the sanctuary, they needed to prepare themselves for the work by shaving themselves completely, and washing themselves, then they could put on the garments of the priesthood and enter the sanctuary to do the work.
When you spend time in Elohiym’s Word, you wash yourself in the Word, preparing your mind and heart for whatever the Lord gives you to do.
Titus 3:4 But when the kindness and the love of Theos our Soter toward man appeared, 5 not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Hagios Pneuma, 6 whom He poured out on us abundantly through Iesous Christos our Soter, 7 that having been justified by His grace we should become heirs according to the hope of eternal life.
Today, let the Light of Yeshuwa fill you as you prepare to do the work Elohiym gave you to do.
Let’s pray: Father, let Your light shine in me as I prepare to do Your work. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

I wasn't familiar with a wave offering, but l see its meaning is pretty literal, as one waves the offering with the arms to God.
Yes, we should all try to live from the light in us, and not hide it away in our darkness.
