Tomorrow's the Day

It's been almost two years since I've been to the pool. I ordered new suits two years ago when the other one faded and was getting worn. When I got the first one, it was too small. I thought it was sized small. It wasn't. I ordered another one and had the same problem. Instead of ordering another one, I had the best incentive to lose weight.
I had many people ask me why I didn't just go out and buy a bigger size. What incentive is that? I knew I wouldn' work as hard to lose weight if I bought larger. The idea is to get rid of large and lose weight and buy smaller as I do.
I've been wearing a size 12 swimsuit for quite some time. So when it became too small, I knew I needed to do something, and that something was to lose weight so I could get back to the pool. I know my next health report is Friday. However, I stepped on the scale this morning to 195.1. That's the incentive I need to keep going and get back to the pool.
Tomorrow's the day. I talked to my friend down the hall who goes to the same Y as I do. I'll be in the pool by 3 PM.
The image is one of two swimsuits I ordered. I haven't tried the other one yet. This one has stretch to it. The other one doesn't. So getting into that one will be my next incentive.

I remember when you bought the two suits. You had a good plan to lose the weight. Enjoy your swim and your new suit.

It's been that long already? It does not seem like it's been 2 years since you've mentioned going. Glad you will get to go again, and that is great news on what the scale showed

I haven't bought a swimsuit in many years. I most likely need to get one.

@JESSY3236 I'm sorry you can't swim. I've been swimming most of my life.

Oh, don't put off going to the pool until after you lose weight -- get a bigger suit and wear it to swim! It's great exercise and will help you to reach your goal sooner! I'm fat, but I won't let that keep me from swimming - I love it!

I'm glad for you.
I started swimming when I was much larger than I am now. I lost a lot of weight and gained some of it back. I know me. If I had bought a larger suit, I might not have quit swimming, but I would have quit trying to lose weight. I needed to have the incentive to lose weight to get into this suit.

Good for you. I agree but not everyone would agree. I could no longer look at myself in the mirror and had to do something so I went on my own weight loss journey for me finally. I used to lose weight for others and gained it back and when finally did it for me I am working hard to keep it off. It has been about 6 years that I lost the weight and work hard with walking and exercise and eating less and cutting things out that I am maintaining.
