Absolute News sent me a rather icky news story this morning. It told of and alligator that was found with human remains in it's mouth in Houston, Texas. It was thought to be the remains of a missing woman from the area. The woman was in her sixties and had gone missing on Tuesday. She was from the Horsepen Bayou area on the outskirts of Houston. The police are not sure how the woman died but they have successfully retrieved the rest of her remains from the mouth of the alligator and then shot it.

@celticeagle I have heard of several cases of this over the years. There are a lot of alligators in Florida and lots of bodies of water. I have heard there is one in the pond just outside our patio but I have never seen it. If I ever do, I will run into the house and watch it through binoculars.

Icky is a good word for that news story. What a terrible way to die if she was killed by an alligator

That's what I thought too. I had to share it even though it was awful. Needed to discuss it.

@celticeagle That's true - I wonder if they can somehow figure that out. But well, I don't know that I want to know the details .

How horrible for her. At least she was found, many missing are never seen again.

@celticeagle I don't know. Many are not found but more are found safe and alive. If anyone in your life is missing, never give up hope.

She should not have accepted a the alligator's invitation to dinner. You'd think, at her age, she would know.
