No, it is not a slice of spam. What do you suppose it is? It is a piece of homemade paper with flower seeds in it. We made it at school and I am going to plant my little part in a planter here at home. Simple process: Put water in the blender, and add scrap paper torn into small bits. Blend to a pulp and strain the extra water off. We gave the kids each a portion to roll into a ball. Then they added assorted seeds. They had "flower bombs". Then Ms. Bre patted the rest of the pulp out on a stack of towels, putting seeds on it and letting it dry. Once dry she cut the paper into small portions and sent each teacher in school a May Day greeting with seeds. I hope my flowers grow.

That's really wonderful. It's the first time that I heard about homemade paper.

I like having flowers. I do not usually grow from seed. This seems simple.

The seed bombs sprouted over the weekend when they were supposed to be drying.

That's sweet. Years ago my hubby helped some Sunday school kids to make paper from pulped grass.

When we went on our field trip to Botanica (a public garden experience) they gave the kids a seed paper. It had a scavenger hunt printed on it, and it was made from paper plus a plant.
