I Prayed About the Rain Today

We certainly don't need any more rain, in Tawas City. I prayed for all those storm clouds to leave and they did. The storm moved farther south, towards Bay City. Do I have the power to change our weather? No, I don't. But, my heavenly Father certainly does! When Dad was a boy, he went through a violent hurricane. The year was 1923, my father was 14 years old at the time. History books record this as one of the worst storms ever, to hit Florida! I don't pray about the weather very often, unless lives are possibly in danger. When tornadoes are raising their ugly head, I always pray

The front was right overhead, for a while. When sprinkles hit my windshield, something sparked me to pray! When it moved south, my heart began leaping! Small things can bring joy, even a change in weather:)

Then, the storm turned again and headed north towards Tawas. We are 65 miles north of the Michigan thumb, on the shoreline of Lake Huron.

Sometimes prayers work. I wish we could have the power to change the weather, but I am not sure if this would be a good thing.
