When nothing else blooms

We have these acalypha that we have planted all over and when nothing else blooms we know these tiger tails will not let us down.
Their bright red colour against the green is enough to brighten the garden. Tiger tails are perennial and easy to maintain . They grow from cuttings and that is how we got them all over the place.
For many they are ordinary but it is the ordinary that create an exotic ambiance in gardens

Whatever grows easily I suppose gets that 'ordinary' tag.

I have planted them at random spots in the garden so that there is always colour in the garden
