We had a hand of bananas from our garden which became ripe in no time They all turned yellow . I normally do not keep bananas in the fridge but these we had to. I now see they are all turned black - not a pleasant sight I peeled one but relieved that tt is white inside and as good as new. Looks are deceptive

I remember that bananas turn black outside in the fridge, but the inside is perfect.

We do not get good bananas from the supermarket here and I had ordered some that were green and yellow, I kept hem outside until the green left and then in the fridge, Like yours they became black and inside yes, they were white but mushy and tasted terrible,

Mine as you can see is firm and quite good to eat. You must have kept them for too long.

Haha, this is very magical. Usually, I don't put bananas in the refrigerator. This is a habit for me and my family. I didn't know why before, but now I know because it turns black

@allknowing Yes, bananas are a fruit that is prone to spoilage. Usually, we buy a small amount of bananas and eat them as quickly as possible
