Day 153 – Anointed Numbers 24:1 Now when Balaam saw that it pleased JEHOVAH to bless Israel, he did not go as at other times, to seek to use sorcery, but he set his face toward the wilderness. 2 Balaam raised his eyes, and saw Israel encamped according to their tribes; and the Ruach of Elohiym came upon him. 3 Then he took up his oracle and said, “The utterance of Balaam the son of Beor, the utterance of the man whose eyes are opened, 4 the utterance of him who hears the words of El, who sees the vision of the Shadday, who falls, with eyes wide open. 5 ‘How lovely are your tents, O Jacob! Your dwellings, O Israel! 6 Like valleys that stretch out, like gardens by the riverside, like aloes planted by JEHOVAH, like cedars beside the waters. 7 He will pour water from his buckets, and his seed will be in many waters. His king will be higher than Agag, and his kingdom will be exalted. 8 El brought him out of Egypt; he has strength like a wild ox; he will consume the nations, his enemies; he will break their bones and pierce them with his arrows. 9 He bows down, he lies down as a lion; and as a lion, who will rouse him?’ Blessed is he who blesses you, and cursed is he who curses you.” 10 Then Balak’s anger was aroused against Balaam, and he struck his hands together; and Balak said to Balaam, “I called you to curse my enemies, and look, you have bountifully blessed them these three times! 11 Now therefore, flee to your place. I said I would greatly honor you, but in fact, JEHOVAH kept you back from honor.” 12 Balaam said to Balak, “Did I not also speak to your messengers whom you sent to me, saying, 13 ‘If Balak were to give me his house full of silver and gold, I could not go beyond the word of JEHOVAH, to do good or bad of my own will. What JEHOVAH says that I must speak’? 14 Now, indeed, I am going to my people. Come, I will advise you what these people will do to your people in the latter days.” 15 So he took up his oracle and said, “The utterance of Balaam the son of Beor, and the utterance of the man whose eyes are opened; 16 the utterance of him who hears the words of El, and has the knowledge of the Elyown, who sees the vision of Shadday, who falls, with eyes wide open. 17 ‘I see Him, but not now; I behold Him, but not near; a Kowkab will come out of Jacob; a Shebet will rise out of Israel, and batter the brow of Moab, and destroy all the sons of tumult. 18 Edom will be a possession; Seir also, his enemies, will be a possession, while Israel does valiantly. 19 Out of Jacob One will have dominion and destroy the remains of the city.” 20 Then he looked on Amalek, and he took up his oracle and said, “Amalek was first among the nations, but will be last until he perishes.” 21 Then he looked on the Kenites, and he took up his oracle and said, “Firm is your dwelling place, and your nest is set in the rock; 22 nevertheless, Kain will be burned. How long until Asshur carries you away captive?” 23 Then he took up his oracle and said, “Alas! Who will live when El does this? 24 But ships will come from the coasts of Cyprus, and they will afflict Asshur and afflict Eber, and so will Amalek, until he perishes.” 25 Balaam rose and departed and returned to his place; Balak also went his way. God’s names: JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal Ruach – Spirit Elohiym – Supreme God El – Almighty God Shadday – Almighty Elyown – Supreme, Most High Kowkab – Star, Prince Shebet – Scepter Christos – Anointed One, Messiah Theos – Supreme Divinity God’s character: Holy Judge What do you do when everything you attempt goes against everything you hope to accomplish? Balak sent for Balaam to curse Israel. Yet, three times Balaam blessed Israel. He could not curse those whom Elohiym blessed. When he gave the last oracle of blessing, Balaam told Balak what his outcome would be and the nations who stood against Israel. You cannot go up against Elohiym and expect to win. His Word and law will stand and destroy those who come against Him and His anointed. JEHOVAH blessed Israel long before they were a nation. Genesis 12:1 Now JEHOVAH had said to Abram, “Get out of your country, from your family and from your father’s house to a land I will show you. 2 I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you will be a blessing. 3 I will bless those who bless you, and I will curse him who curses you; and in you all the families of the earth will be blessed.” When JEHOVAH is your El, He will fight for you. He will bless you, and you will be His anointed. Nothing your enemy plans against you will happen. 1 Samuel 2:1 Hannah prayed and said, “My heart rejoices in JEHOVAH; my horn is exalted in JEHOVAH. I smile at my enemies, Because I rejoice in Your salvation. 2 No one is holy like JEHOVAH, for there is none besides You, nor is there any rock like our Elohiym. 3 Talk no more so proudly; let no arrogance come from your mouth, for JEHOVAH is the El of knowledge; and by Him actions are weighed. 4 The bows of the mighty men are broken, and those who stumbled are girded with strength. 5 Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread, and the hungry have ceased to hunger. Even the barren has borne seven, and she who has many children has become feeble. 6 JEHOVAH kills and makes alive; He brings down to the grave and brings up. 7 JEHOVAH makes poor and makes rich; He brings low and lifts up. 8 He raises the poor from the dust and lifts the beggar from the ash heap, to set them among princes and make them inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are JEHOVAH’S, and He has set the world upon them. 9 He will guard the feet of His saints, but the wicked will be silent in darkness. For by strength no man will prevail. 10 The adversaries of JEHOVAH will be broken into pieces; from heaven He will thunder against them. JEHOVAH will judge the ends of the earth. He will give strength to His king and exalt the horn of His anointed.” 1 Samuel 26:8 Then Abishai said to David, “Elohiym has delivered your enemy into your hand this day. Now therefore, please, let me strike him at once with the spear, right to the earth; and I will not have to strike him a second time!” 9 David said to Abishai, “Do not destroy him; for who can stretch out his hand against JEHOVAH’S anointed, and be guiltless?” 1 Chronicles 16:13 O seed of Israel His servant, you children of Jacob, His chosen ones! 14 He is JEHOVAH our Elohiym; His judgments are in all the earth. 15 Remember His covenant forever, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations, 16 the covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac, 17 and confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, to Israel for an everlasting covenant, 18 saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan as the allotment of your inheritance,” 19 when you were few in number, indeed very few, and strangers in it. 20 When they went from one nation to another, and from one kingdom to another people, 21 He permitted no man to do them wrong; yes, He rebuked kings for their sakes, 22 saying, “Do not touch My anointed ones, and do My prophets no harm.” 2 Corinthians 1:21 Now He who establishes us with you in Christos and has anointed us is Theos, 22 who also has sealed us and given us the Ruach in our hearts as a guarantee. Just as Israel is JEHOVAH’S anointed people, so are you because you accepted His Son as your Savior and Lord. He will not permit anyone to come against you. Moses told Israel to stand and see the salvation of the Lord when they stood at the Red Sea with Pharaoh’s armies coming against them. You too can stand and see Elohiym’s salvation when Satan comes against you. Psalm 4:1 (To the Chief Musician. With stringed instruments. A Psalm of David.) Hear me when I call, O Elohiym of my righteousness! You have relieved me in my distress; have mercy on me and hear my prayer. 2 How long, O you sons of men, will you turn my glory to shame? How long will you love worthlessness and seek falsehood? Selah 3 But know that JEHOVAH has set apart for Himself him who is godly; JEHOVAH will hear when I call to Him. 4 Be angry, and do not sin. Meditate within your heart on your bed and be still. Selah 5 Offer the sacrifices of righteousness and put your trust in JEHOVAH. 6 There are many who say, “Who will show us any good?” JEHOVAH, lift the light of Your countenance upon us. 7 You have put gladness in my heart, more than in the season that their grain and wine increased. 8 I will both lie down in peace, and sleep; for You alone, O JEHOVAH, make me dwell in safety. Nothing can come against you when you put your faith and trust in El. Let’s pray: Father, thank you that Your anointing rests on me as Your child. Remind me of Your love and protection when Satan comes against me to harm me and destroy my life. You are my salvation; I will trust in You. Never let me be afraid of what Satan plots against me. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Copyright © 19 June 2024 by Valerie Routhieaux The image belongs to me.

Yes, we need to maintain our faith and trust in God, while never cursing, or belittling, those doing God's service either. Balaam's example of blessing, rather than cursing anyone, is always a better thing for us to do, even as Jesus said to us too, to forgive those who trespass against us too.

@just4him Yes, we need to walk the extra mile even with our enemies, and forgive and bless them too. We always need to walk with God, and never against him. Thanks, my day was very good. I hope your day went well too.
