Those Seagulls can be Awful Birds

Whenever I go to East Tawas City Park, I usually throw treats to the seagulls. This afternoon I did this and made another seagull very unhappy
That crazy bird flew in my drivers side window and left a trail of poop inside my car. Then, it continued on its merry way and flew out the passenger window. What an awful mess!
Lucky for me, I had a container of handwipes to clean this up. My turquoise colored shorts and hands were splattered with poop. The emergency brake was smeared, my coffee cup splatters. Yuck!
The first mission was to clean my hands. Then, I scrubbed the inside of my car with handwipes. I immediately headed towards home, to put on a clean pair of pants.
I've heard others complain about the nasty seagulls. Believe it when I say, I experienced this lesson first hand. Thank God, I had the passenger window open or that crazy bird would have been trapped inside my jeep
But, as the old saying goes, 'things happen

Oh wow, you have to be careful what you share with wildlife. I posted on here about the crow that very aggressively went after friend's salad and even tried to sit on his leg.

My son said this, also. He'd wash his car, then seagulls would fly over and poop on it!

I have never fed wildlife ever since I read that it was not good for them. I even give Luna tiny treats of food for human beings even if she likes them more than her own food. I have seen angry pigeons in cafés and restaurants in places where people often feed them.

These seagulls are spoiled! Everyone throws them scraps, this draws even more birds.

@kobesbuddy I remember that when I went to the Iguazu Falls, there were lots of animals destroying the waste baskets. They were used to people feeding them and the population had grown because people have killed the mountain lions that ate part of them.

Yuck. I'm so sorry this happened; but the seagulls have been conditioned to look for food from people. You might have to keep your windows partially closed. Have a good day.

That's an interesting yet awkward wildlife incident. You were lucky to have the passenger window open for the crazy bird. I have been always mad when I see flies entering the car and they could be a big disturbance till they get out of the windows. Well, next time be careful. Thanks for sharing!

I've heard about rotten stuff they've pulled. Stealing a whole sandwich off a plate! Eating outdoors on a picnic table, this can happen.

And this afternoon, I took the jeep to the park. I wiped down the emergency brake again, there was more poop I hadn't seen.

Goodness, I've never heard of this happening before. As you say, lucky the bird could get out but how awful that he pooped as he went through.
