Last night's dream. (25/6/2024)

In last night's dream I was out somewhere, I can't remember where, it might have been shopping or something, and I got a phone call from my friend Yasmin. She said she was very close and could I go and see her. So I went to the car park where they were. It was dark. Yasmin told me to view what she was doing on my tablet so I could track her. We went to a restaurant. We were going to have a cup of coffee first, but it was a very low table and very low chairs. Yasmin sat down and they got her a black coffee in a tea cup and saucer. But when I tried to sit down my knees were right under my chin! I said I can't do this! It was like I was looking at what was going on from the side, even though I was supposed to be trying to sit on the chair. Anyway we went into another part of the restaurant and Yasmin left her coffee on the floor. In the other part of the restaurant we sat down and I checked what was going on on my tablet. I could see Yasmin on there as she went to fetch our order. I don't remember anything about eating it. Then I was back home checking what Yasmin was doing on my tablet. It looked like she was going on a trip out somewhere on a coach. I thought why is she going without me? Then I fell asleep (in the dream.) When I woke up (in the dream) I was on the coach. Where am I? I thought. Why and how am I here? And I sat up straight. And that's all I remember! Have you had any interesting dreams lately that you can remember? I hope you are all well. Have a nice day.

I'm not sure if age has something to do with not being able to remember dreams. But I don't remember my dreams now unlike when I was younger when my dreams were vivid and I could recall them upon awakening. You must be close to Yasmin. The dream might be your subconscious warning of possible miscommunication in your relationship. Meeting with her, monitoring her movements could mean a need to stay connected, also a fear of losing touch with her. the uncomfortable seating arrangement, a feeling of restriction and her leaving the cup of coffee on the floor refer to unfinished business. Going on a trip without you makes you feel abandon. Falling asleep and waking up in a vehicle could mean changes in your relationship which confuse you and you are not prepared for. This would be my two cents worth of interpretation.

@sharonelton ~I'm 70. There are on going studies to find out if dreams are part of the cognitive process. I am a firm believer of the saying, "use it or lost it" in both physical and mental abilities.

@josie_ I don't know about that. I like being able to remember my dreams. Yes, I agree with you there.

How old are you, if you don't mind me asking? I'm 54 and I still remember my dreams quite well. Yazzy is my bestest friend! You might be right! She's still got to pick up a load of newspapers that we've been saving for her that she uses for her pets!

@sharonelton I'm always tired. 2 or 3 hours of sleep isn't enough.

@LindaOHio I know how you feel. I had 6 and a half hours sleep last night, and I still feel tired.

It's good that you got some sleep anyway. Did it help?

I don't dream that often, but in most of my dreams l am forgetting something or losing something - like my handbag with money or phone.

Oh, dear. Those don't sound like very nice dreams. I dreamt I lost something once, but I can't remember what it was!

@Kandae11 Yes, I can understand that. I would be relieved to find it was just a dream too! I get that feeling when I dream about school!
