7/7/24 - Update on My Husband

He said he spent all day yesterday in bed and was bored. Today (Sunday) he will have physical therapy which is unheard of.
I went through the packet of material for the appeal hearing; and I have a list of questions. I only have 5 days from Friday to return the required form; so I must make sure and get the answers I need on Monday.
I am planning on seeing my hubby today. I hope that happens.

Maybe the hospital ordered the PT. I hate that you have such a short period of time to submit the appeal. It’s almost like they’re putting up roadblocks to make sure you don’t. Seriously, five days? That means you’ll have to overnight the paperwork so as not to risk it being lost or delayed.

This morning I will be calling and asking all sorts of questions about the form that needs to be returned, etc. What a pain.

I thought of that as well, the only way to get it there on time is to overnight it there.

I hope the therapy goes well today, and he hasn't regressed due to his time in the hospital.

He was exhausted after PT and collapsed a little trying to get from his wheelchair to his bed. Fortunately an aide had a hold of his belt.

What is the justification of your husband sitting bored in his room all day when he could be working toward getting out? I think that's a question I'd be asking.

None of the rehab facilities that I know of have PT on the weekends. And we are paying for him lying in bed. It's not fair.

Even on days without physical therapy someone who does activities should go help him get out and about.
