Sisters? Brothers?

Do you have them? I am an only child. I had a stepbrother for about 5 years when my mother remarried. He was a cruel and evil person who hit me and treated me very badly. I was best friends with a woman who had a lot of brothers and sisters. I spent a lot of time at her house during my teenage years. After that, I was still thought of as part of her family. It was so nice and I miss her so. She passed away in December 2022. I often wonder what it is really like to grow up with brothers and/or sisters.

I have one of each but we were 3 and a half years apart so never had a lot of similar interests

@celticeagle Yes it is. It just worked out that way as mom had trouble getting pregnant with me so she didn't use any birth control after I was born

I have four brothers and three sisters. I am the fifth child. Two of my sisters are also on MyLot. Most of the others are not much into writing.

My only experience having a brother wasn't a good one. But my BFF showed me another side.

I don't have any siblings either. As a child I wanted an older brother because I imagined we could have had adventures together. Of course I realised later that he would undoubtedly have been trying to shake me off the whole time and resented my presence! As an adult I'm happy not to have any, it makes things so much simpler!
