Today I had snake gourd with rice and coconut paste

In bengal snake gourd is called chichinge. It is bigger than bottle gourd and is long in shape. It is very delicious. Today I had snake gourd curry with coconut paste and ate it with rice. Some people add potatoes and onions in the curry as well.

You don't often see gourds for sale here. It's not one of our common vegetables.
