In the monsoon the ringegourds become ripe

In Bengal Ringegourds or jhinge are very popular. People make jhinge posto and other dishes in monsoon. They become ripe at this time. they are watery vegetables and can be eaten both rice and chapatis

I have seen them at shops but not bought them. Are they similar in to "Tori"(RidgeGourd)? We find these veggies good for overall system in the Monsoon season.
