I do Genealogy and a while back I found out that one of my former coworkers ex husband and their son's were my distant cousins. I chatted with him from time to time online. When Trump was campaigning the first time. Someone asked me was I going to vote for him and I said no. My cousin said, " If you are not smart enough to vote for him them you go in and unfriend me!", in caps! Another cousin came on and got mad and said," Don't yell at my cousin that way, she will vote what ever way she wants to. And if you want to unfriend her, do it yourself." I had some other people online say that to me and there were some people in public that if I was not going to vote for Trump then don't talk to them again. Someone on here said did I realize hoe ridiculous I sound by not agreeing with Trumps ways! In the past we voted for who you we wanted too, if we disagreed, so be it! But we never parted ways because of it! It appears to me that most Trump followers are being nasty to non Trump followers.

I can't imagine why anyone would vote for Trump but it's not my country that is at stake.

Yep, you are in another country. I don't know why, but he was voted in as president before. What I don't understand is that if you don't vote for him then his followers are very downright nasty to you. I am 63 years old, so I have voted many times. If I was talking to someone that is going to or did vote a different way we would discuss our view points and opinions. Then life would go on, they didn't start being nasty unless they were drunk. But Trump followers are different they get nasty and mean if you are not a Trump fan. Hmmmmm?

@JudyEv That's the vibe I get too! I too don't understand it. The first time I saw him on TV he gave me too much impression of Hitler from films we used to see in school. I said that and people thought I was crazy. Then soon those very same people were saying the same thing. As well there were people on TV saying it too!

@dfollin I have noticed that too on TV, etc. They seem to pick up on his own nasty personality and think it's okay to be rude and horrible. Some people here he is marvellous too. I really can't understand it.

It is your business who you vote for or who you do not vote for.

That's right. And I have been voting for many years and until Trump came on the political scene I never saw this happen. If we differed in opinion then we would compare our opinions and that was it. But I was totally shocked when my cousin said that he wanted me to unfriend him because I wasn't voting for Trump. Ok, I have a different opinion, that is no reason to get nasty. But I am finding that seems to be that way with most people I have met on and off line.
