Day 182 – Celebration
Deuteronomy 16:1 “Observe the month of Abib, and keep the Passover to JEHOVAH your Elohiym, for in the month of Abib JEHOVAH your Elohiym brought you out of Egypt by night. 2 Therefore, you will sacrifice the Passover to JEHOVAH your Elohiym, from the flock and the herd, in the place where JEHOVAH chooses to put His name. 3 You will eat no leavened bread with it; seven days you will eat unleavened bread with it, that is, the bread of affliction (for you came out of the land of Egypt in haste), that you may remember the day in which you came out of the land of Egypt every day of your life. 4 No leaven will be seen among you in your territory for seven days, nor will any of the meat which you sacrifice the first day at twilight remain overnight until morning. 5 You may not sacrifice the Passover within any of your gates which JEHOVAH your Elohiym gives you; 6 but at the place where JEHOVAH your Elohiym chooses to make His name abide, there you will sacrifice the Passover at twilight, at the going down of the sun, at the time you came out of Egypt. 7 You will roast and eat it in the place which JEHOVAH your Elohiym chooses, and in the morning, you will turn and go to your tents. 8 Six days you will eat unleavened bread, and on the seventh day there will be a sacred assembly to JEHOVAH your Elohiym. You will do no work on it.
9 “You will count seven weeks for yourself; begin to count the seven weeks from the time you begin to put the sickle to the grain. 10 Then you will keep the Feast of Weeks to JEHOVAH your Elohiym with the tribute of a freewill offering from your hand, which you will give as JEHOVAH your Elohiym blesses you. 11 You will rejoice before JEHOVAH your Elohiym, you, your son, your daughter, your male and female servants, the Levite within your gates, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow who are among you, at the place where JEHOVAH your Elohiym chooses to make His name abide. 12 You will remember you were a slave in Egypt, and you will be careful to observe these statutes.
13 “You will observe the Feast of Tabernacles seven days, when you have gathered from your threshing floor and from your winepress. 14 You will rejoice in your feast, you, your son, your daughter, your male and female servants, the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, who are within your gates. 15 Seven days you will keep a sacred feast to JEHOVAH your Elohiym in the place which JEHOVAH chooses, because JEHOVAH your Elohiym will bless you in your produce and in the work of your hands, so that you rejoice.
16 “Three times a year all your men will appear before JEHOVAH your Elohiym in the place which He chooses: at the Feast of Unleavened Bread, at the Feast of Weeks, and at the Feast of Tabernacles; and they will not appear before JEHOVAH empty-handed. 17 Every man will give as he is able, according to the blessing of JEHOVAH your Elohiym which He has given you.
18 “You will appoint judges and officers in your gates, which JEHOVAH your Elohiym gives you, according to your tribes, and they will judge the people with just judgment. 19 You will not pervert justice; you will not show partiality, nor take a bribe, for a bribe blinds the eyes of the wise and twists the words of the righteous. 20 You will follow what is altogether just, that you may live and inherit the land which JEHOVAH your Elohiym gives you.
21 “You will not plant for yourself any tree, as a wooden image, near the altar which you build for yourself to JEHOVAH your Elohiym. 22 You will not set up a sacred pillar, which JEHOVAH your Elohiym hates.

Holidays are special times you celebrate during the year, to remember what happened to bring about the holiday and make the day special.
Moses told Israel they were to celebrate three feasts to JEHOVAH. When they did, they were to celebrate for seven days, rejoicing in everything Elohiym did for them to bring them into the Promised Land.
The first feast, Unleavened Bread, began with Passover when they sacrificed the Passover Lamb. They were to sacrifice the lamb outside the gates of the city JEHOVAH would name and put His name there. The sacrifice was not to remain until morning. The Feast of Unleavened Bread lasted seven days. They could eat nothing with leaven in it. On the first and last day of the feast, they were to do no work.
The second feast, The Feast of Weeks, began seven weeks after they began to harvest the grain. It was a celebration of thanksgiving for everything JEHOVAH did for them. They were to bring a free-will offering in their hand when they blessed JEHOVAH.
The third feast, The Feast of Tabernacles, lasted seven days. They did not work on the first and last day, but rejoiced in everything JEHOVAH blessed them with.
For each of these feasts, every man in Israel needed to appear before JEHOVAH in the place He would name with a free-will offering in his hand and rejoice in the blessing Elohiym gave him.
Christians today celebrate Passover as the day when Yeshuwa sacrificed Himself as the Passover Lamb on the cross for their sins. The people sacrificed Him outside the gates as a sin offering. They also took Him off the cross at dusk so He would not remain on the cross through the night. Three days later Christians celebrate the resurrection of our Kurios Iesous Christos.
John 3:14 “As Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15 that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. 16 For Theos so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17 For Theos did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.
Seven weeks later Christians celebrate Pentecost, the day when Elohiym poured out His Hagios Pneuma on the believers in the Upper Room and the Hagios Pneuma dwelled in believers.
Acts 2:1 When the Day of Pentecost had fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
2 Suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting.
3 Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them.
4 They were filled with the Hagios Pneuma and began to speak with other tongues, as the Pneuma gave them utterance.
The third celebration, the Feast of Tabernacles, is a day of thanksgiving when Christians gather and remember the blessings Elohiym gave them. Iesous told the people at the Feast of Tabernacles if any man thirst, they were to come to Him. Christians are to thirst for JEHOVAH’S Word.
John 7:37 On the last day, that great day of the feast, Iesous stood and cried out, saying, "If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink. 38 He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water.”
Do you thirst for JEHOVAH’S Word? Do you spend time with Him in Bible study and prayer? Do you talk about Him whenever the opportunity arises? Is JEHOVAH first in your life? Do rivers of living water flow from you? How often do you spend time with other believers in church or Bible study? Do you encourage those who need encouragement, pray for those who need and ask for prayer, spread the love of Yeshuwa to everyone you meet, not only those you know?
Every day should be a celebration of what JEHOVAH did in sending His Son as the Passover Lamb. Every day you should celebrate the indwelling of the Hagios Pneuma in your life. Everyday JEHOVAH’S Word should flow from you to others. It should not be only on certain days of the year, but every day. Then you will know JEHOVAH’S blessings in your life, and you will rejoice in everything He gives you.
Let’s pray: Father, help me celebrate what You did for me every day. Let Your love flow through me as rivers of living water when I spend time with You and others around Your Word. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

A lot of celebrations and feasts back in those days. These days there are not that many so l think it is important to carry that Thanksgiving in our heart every day.
I do admire how you put out these indept daily Bible studies every day without fail - along with your other writings and everything else that you do.

Yes, there were. They're still celebrated today among the Jewish people.
I agree. It's important to always be thankful for God's blessings.
God told me to do this many years ago. I started on a Yahoo prayer group with it, and still have a couple of those people on my e-mail list. Then I put them on a writing site that gave critiques of the first novel I published. I'm forever grateful for the help in my writing. When I started blogging, I started putting the study here. I couldn't do any of it without the Holy Spirit. I give Him all the credit for these studies.
Have a blessed day.
