I love honey. I was brought up on it. I remember my mom would bring home honeycombs as a treat when she came home from work. I know some people don't like honey. They have a right to their opinion. But, I decided to do a comparison. What are the pros and cons?
Sugar(table sugar, nothing fancy)
* It's cheap and easy to come by.
* No nutritional value.
* Consists of equal parts of glucose and fructose.
* No nutrients or antioxidants.
* May contribute to weight gain.
Honey(raw, easiest to come by)
* Not safe for infants under 1 year old.
* Contains fructose and glucose along with trace amounts of antioxidants, vitamins, and minerals.
* Slightly higher in calories than table sugar.
* You can use less honey for the same sweetness due to fructose being sweeter than glucose.
* Raw honey may help with allergies and has antimicrobial properties.
* Soothes cough and throat irritations.
Which of these do you choose? For me, it is honey any time I can get it.

How interesting. Royal jelly is good for us. I always enjoy the clover flavor but I know there are many others.

@celticeagle Clover flavor is boring. I have enjoyed avocado honey that reminded me of molasses.

I will go with sugar since it has a better nutritional value than honey.

Where did you read that sugar has more nutritional value than honey? It's just the opposite.

Honey for sure. It is not refined , natural and also best for health. Sugar although looks small is definitely dangerous as we tend to consume a lot. Plus , it is addictive. But then , anything consumed should be within limits else it would have adverse effects. Again, there are adultered honey which does not do any good as well.
