Do you feel there should be uniform in universities?

In India the universities dont have uniforms for students. In my university whenever there are mock trials the students wear black coat white shirt and black pant. But on other days they come in casual dress. In some of the engineering colleges there are uniforms. I dont feel the students should be asked to wear the uniforms.
