192 – Dedication Deuteronomy 26:1 “It will happen, when you come into the land which JEHOVAH your Elohiym gives you as an inheritance, and you possess it and dwell in it, 2 that you will take some of the first of the produce of the ground, which you will bring from your land that JEHOVAH your Elohiym gives you, and put it in a basket and go to the place where JEHOVAH your Elohiym chooses to make His name abide. 3 "You will go to the one who is priest in those days, and say to him, ‘I declare today to JEHOVAH your Elohiym that I have come to the country which JEHOVAH swore to our fathers to give us.’ 4 Then the priest will take the basket out of your hand and set it down before the altar of JEHOVAH your Elohiym. 5 You will answer and say before JEHOVAH your Elohiym: ‘My father was a Syrian, about to perish, and he went down to Egypt and dwelt there, few in number; and there he became a nation, great, mighty, and populous. 6 The Egyptians mistreated us, afflicted us, and laid hard bondage on us. 7 Then we cried out to JEHOVAH Elohiym of our fathers, and JEHOVAH heard our voice and looked on our affliction and our labor and our oppression. 8 JEHOVAH brought us out of Egypt with a mighty hand and with an outstretched arm, with great terror and with signs and wonders. 9 He brought us to this place and gave us this land, “a land flowing with milk and honey”; 10 and now, behold, I brought the first fruits of the land which you, O JEHOVAH, gave me.’ Then you will set it before JEHOVAH your Elohiym, and worship before JEHOVAH your Elohiym. 11 You will rejoice in every good thing JEHOVAH your Elohiym gave to you and your house, you and the Levite and the stranger who is among you. 12 “When you finish laying aside the tithe of your increase in the third year—the year of tithing—and have given it to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, so that they may eat within your gates and be filled, 13 then you will say before JEHOVAH your Elohiym: ‘I removed the holy tithe from my house, and gave them to the Levite, the stranger, the fatherless, and the widow, according to Your commandments which You commanded me; I have not transgressed Your commandments, nor forgotten them. 14 I did not eat it when in mourning, nor removed it for an unclean use, nor given it for the dead. I obeyed the voice of JEHOVAH my Elohiym and did according to everything You have commanded me. 15 Look down from Your holy habitation, from heaven, and bless Your people Israel and the land which You gave us, just as You swore to our fathers, “a land flowing with milk and honey.’” 16 “This day JEHOVAH your Elohiym commands you to observe these statutes and judgments; therefore, you will be careful to observe them with your whole heart and with your whole soul. 17 Today you proclaimed JEHOVAH to be your Elohiym, and that you will walk in His ways and keep His statutes, His commandments, and His judgments, and that you will obey His voice. 18 Also, today JEHOVAH proclaimed you to be His special people, just as He promised you, that you should keep His commandments, 19 and that He will set you high above every nation He made, in praise, in name, and in honor, and that you may be a holy people to JEHOVAH your Elohiym, just as He said.” God’s name: JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal Elohiym – Supreme God Yeshuwa – Jesus God’s character: Holy People buy homes, relocate to new towns and countries, looking for the perfect place to live. When they find it, they do everything they can to make their new home beautiful, a place of enjoyment. JEHOVAH told Abraham the land of Canaan would belong to his people. When Jacob went down to Egypt, Elohiym brought His people out with a mighty arm, and brought them to the Promised Land, a land flowing with milk and honey. Moses told them when they arrived in their new home, they were to dedicate it with the first fruits of the land, and they were to bring the tithe of the land every three years for the Levite, stranger, fatherless, and widow so they could live in the land. When you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord, He showed you where you would live to do His work. When you moved into your new home, did you dedicate it to Elohiym, so He could bless you and the work of your hands? If you did not move, did you dedicate your home to Him and everything you did for His work in your life so He could bless you? Did you remember to give Him the tithe of your income for His work? When you dedicate your life, your home, and the work of your hands to Elohiym, He will bless you and provide you with everything you need. Let’s pray: Father, let my life be an offering to You, holy and pleasing to You. I dedicate myself to Your Work, my home, and the work You give me for Your kingdom. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen. Beekeeping has been around for thousands of years, and God must have been ok about man obtaining honey from bees. It seems that what God told the first man that he was meant to rule over animals, fish, and the land, was really true, and that man could make use of all of these things in the living of his own life too. When we do rule over these things though, we still need to follow God's commandments in all that we do.
