8/4/24 - Update On My Husband

He's doing OK but is doing a lot of coughing. I hope he tests negative soon. He is getting good care; and the food is a little bit better than the rehab facility. I hope they at least get him to sit on the edge of the bed or he will regress in his physical therapy.
Our housekeeper will be coming over tomorrow. We will continue getting the house ready for my husband's return.
The physical therapy records could not be delivered at 10:30 PM yesterday because the business was closed. We will get a refund because the package did not make it there on Friday; but I don't know if the judge will accept the records a day late. I will call on Monday to find out.
Thank you for your continued prayers, support and thoughts.

@MarieCoyle Yes, his heart rate is down to 80. Thank you for the suggestion; but we are OK right now talking on the phone. He doesn't feel much like talking anyway because it makes him cough.

They might not do too much because he is dizzy and is coughing a lot.

They honestly may not even let him out of bed, as moving about when you have a bad cough often makes it hard to breathe...and I remember you said he is/was on oxygen. The main thing is getting him past the Covid, I'm sure. Did they get the AFIB to calm down? I hope so.
I know it is very difficult to not be able to go and visit. I wish there was some way you could facetime with him--does the nurse-cousin person have an iphone she could hook into another person there at the hospital? We did that with several family members who were hospitalized with Covid, about 2 years ago. One of the nurses gladly offered her phone for our people to get the call on, it was so good and really cheered them up. Just an idea for you, it may or may not be feasible...it worked for us.

Thank you. I have a feeling he will need more PT after lying in bed for days.

I'm sure that judge will take this into consideration. That if the place is closed those records can't be delivered. This will be longer time spent in a hospital, where your husband gets good care.

The Judge won't see them until Monday because nothing happens on Sunday. In fact, you may never know if it got there or not since no one was there to recieve it. When you have to send something express like that, they have to sign for it to say it's recieved. so it'll be marked as undelievered until then.

Hate he's doing a lot of coughing, that can be hard on a person. Happy to hear you got a refund.

Those jerks where I used to be employed. I read an article not too long ago that said there are FOUR post office regions in the entire country that have a delivery rate above 90%. When I worked there, the nationwide delivery rate was 97%. Now they’re “happy” with only four regions being able to manage to get nine out of ten pieces of mail to where they’re supposed to go????? And they want 72c an ounce from us for the “privilege”? I’ll tell ya, if Amazon ever gets to deliver mail the USPS will be finished in a week.
Anyway, glad Mr. OHio is feeling better. I know you hate him coughing, but it’s good for him to get that stuff out of his lungs so he doesn’t develop pneumonia. I’d also hope they have him sitting up to prevent pneumonia!!!

@LindaOHio — unfortunately, federal law allows the postal service to be a monopoly.
