Temptation everywhere at a tourist venue

We went on a bus trip the other day and called in at a tourist village in Pinjarra, one of the first areas to be populated in Western Australia. Some of the craft work there was very beautiful and I took a lot of photos of the various items that were for sale.
I’ve made a collage of some of the items. There were some lovely wooden items as well as pottery and glass items. I’ll write a separate post about a couple of the more interesting items. I only bought some honey and a couple of cards. I’m trying hard not to increase the amount of items in the house, no matter how tempting.

You sound like my husband. He is or I should say was, a huge pack rat.

I love pottery and glass items too and would find it hard to resist buying more. I probably would have given into temptation and bought something though.

@JudyEv I just sent off two boxes for donation. Some of the items were hard to part with as they had more sentimental value for me. But, nothing I would use so I packed them up and probably won't miss them. Out of sight, out of mind as the saying goes.

@Marilynda1225 For us, but maybe not for you, there is no-one who can take these things when we go, even if they wanted them. That colours all my thinking about what to keep and what to get rid of.

They look like very nice things but I have learned that when I purchase such things they just gather dust on my shelves,

I would be tempted too; but we have too much stuff. Have a good week.

@JudyEv Do you ever miss, living close to the roos. I just wonder sometimes.

@popciclecold Yes. I miss it all the time. The roos and the birds.
But we were getting too old to stay there and then Vince had his big heart operation and at that point it was very good that we'd moved closer to hospitals, specialists, etc.

Neat stuff. I am learning to be a bit more discerning in that regard. Proud of you for withstanding temptation..now if it only could be applied to fattening foods.

I can resist everything except temptation.
Now where have I heard that before?

I love the photo collage that you've made.
I love going to places that show crafted items like that.
It is pure temptation at its best.
I love seeing anything made by glass, it is quite a process and it amazes me how they can fashion anything when working with such a fragile and dangerously hot item.
