Day 200 – Death
Deuteronomy 34:1 Then Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is across from Jericho. JEHOVAH showed him the entire land of Gilead as far as Dan, 2 Naphtali and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, the land of Judah as far as the Western Sea, 3 the South, and the plain of the Valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, as far as Zoar.
4 Then JEHOVAH said to him, “This is the land of which I swore to give Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ I caused you to see it with your eyes, but you will not cross over there.”
5 Moses the servant of JEHOVAH died in the land of Moab, according to the word of JEHOVAH. 6 He buried him in a valley in the land of Moab, opposite Beth Peor; but no one knows his grave to this day.
7 Moses was one hundred and twenty years old when he died. His eyes were not dim nor did his natural vigor diminish.
8 The children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days. The days of weeping and mourning for Moses ended.
9 Now Joshua the son of Nun was full of the spirit of wisdom, for Moses had laid his hands on him; the children of Israel heeded him and did as JEHOVAH commanded Moses.
10 However, since then there has not arisen in Israel a prophet like Moses, whom JEHOVAH knew face to face, 11 in the signs and wonders which JEHOVAH sent him to do in the land of Egypt, before Pharaoh, before his servants, and in his land, 12 and by that mighty power and the great terror which Moses performed in the sight of Israel.
God’s names:
JEHOVAH – Self-existent, Eternal
Elohiym – Supreme God
Yeshuwa – Jesus
God’s character:
Merciful
Many people know when their time on earth is ending. They talk to their family members and settle in their minds the moment of their death. When great people die, people mourn their passing, heads of states and countries go to their funerals, they remember their accomplishments, and laud them for their achievements.
JEHOVAH prepared Moses for the moment when he would join his fathers. He took him up to the top of Pisgah in Mount Nebo in Moab and showed him the entire land of Canaan from Dan to Jericho. JEHOVAH caused Moses to see the land with his eyes. After showing Moses the land, he died, and JEHOVAH buried him. No one has found his burial place to this day. Then Israel mourned for Moses for thirty days, after which they followed Joshua as JEHOVAH commanded Moses. Before he died, Moses laid hands on Joshua, giving him the spirit of wisdom so he could lead the people into the Promised Land. No one equaled Moses, whom Elohiym spoke face to face.
When you accepted Yeshuwa as Savior and Lord, you prepared for the day you would meet Him face to face. You committed to live your life for Him and do and go where He sends you. What you do for him might become known in the Christian community, or only in your local assembly. However, JEHOVAH notes your accomplishments in heaven, and praises you before the angels. When He returns with His angels, He will bring your reward with Him, a reward His angels know about because He praised you before them.
Matthew 16:27 “For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works. (NKJV)
What are you doing for JEHOVAH? Or do you go through each day without thinking about what Elohiym wants you to do? When you spend your time in worship, prayer, Bible study, and with other believers, you will know what Elohiym wants you do to and will prepare for the task He gives you. Then when the end comes, you will have no regrets because you did the will of your Father and will see Him when you step over into eternity.
Consider your life. If you have not committed yourself to Him, do so today, then live each day for Him. Seek His face daily, so that when the day comes, you are ready to see Him face to face and hear Him say, “Well done, good and faithful servant.”
Matthew 25:23 “His lord said to him, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant; you have been faithful over a few things, I will make you ruler over many things. Enter the joy of your lord.’
Let’s pray: Father, prepare me for the moment when I will see You face to face. Let me do Your work and not mine as I do Your will so that when I see You, You will not turn me away, but will tell me, “Well done, good and faithful servant. Enter the joy of Your Lord. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen.

God wants each one of us to fulfil a different plan for him in our lives, but to some, like Moses, he does seem to give greater tasks to do.
We should be faithful in what God has given to us to do for him too.
