It is very rare for a hammerhead shark to be seen in the waters near Monomoy Island near Cape Cod Massachusetts on Saturday July 20.
A witness named L. Bovenzi who took pictures of the hammerhead shark that was given to the officials of the Atlantic White Shark Conservancy who appreciated the images of the hammerhead shark in the area since it is rare for a hammerhead shark to be in that area.
As the old saying goes "You learn something new every day."

I wonder if the officials check out these photos, as maybe the guy was just a prankster, who took the photo in his local aquarium??

That is a good question if the photograph is the real thing or a fake.

I do not think that anyone was swimming in the area when the hammerhead shark was in the area.
