Over the past several hours, Chilly has appeared to crash. He's alive, but just barely. He got himself into his box, then back out into the hallway and then back in his box and then back out again. Now, he's on the floor in front of the couch where he can see both of us. It's not ideal, but I can't put him on the couch and still do George's tube feeds. When it gets dark, I'll find another place. But for now this is where he'll stay. We've elected not to take him to the vet. He doesn't appear to be in any pain. And, I know, that putting him through a vet visit might've bought us a few more days, if that. I expect he'll pass within the next twenty-four to fourty-eight hours.
