When I first came here I went to the Cove every day, sometimes twice, even three times. It's about a football pitch from my house. Many times I was absolutely alone in calm, warm waters. Little fish would swim around me. I felt such peace. Then, a neighbour hysterically told me I shouldn't go there. There are Monsters in the water. People didn't go to Cove because of Monsters. As I never saw anything or felt anything, I ignored the warning. I later learned that the 'Monsters' story was fabricated by the neighbour's husband so he could get away from her. It was promulgated across the district. Which is why I had it all to myself.

A very interesting way for the neighbor's husband to get away from her with a monster story to get away from her,

And so many people believed it. Look at the image.. the water is shallow, warm, clear... what monsters? But she never went near the Cove and so many people believed the story.

What a story to tell to get away from your wife! Who was the monster, the husband or the wife? (Probably watching too many episodes of LOST!) I'm glad you could have the peaceful cove all to yourself.

the monster was the wife. The husband was trying to avoid confrontation so did the 'monster' story to get down time

Yes... it is fabulous to be there alone. Some strangers have occasionally popped down. Amazed by the warm waters, the quiet.
