...practice, that is. Man, walking with a cane is slow--not to mention a pain.
I used it to go get the mail, and walking with it has got to take twice as long as normal.
As far as the mail, all I got was a sales ad. At least there were no bills.
It's only 75 degrees out there. I thought that it felt cooler.
I hope that you got something pleasant today in the mail in your part of myLot land!

I received a small payment from a survey site in the mail this morning.

LOL--I actually got the cane some months ago right after the doctor told me I had "mild osteo arthritis" in my right knee (though I have the feeling I have something similar going on in my left knee, too). I've been trying not to use it, but the other day on the way to church I fell, and when a lady I know who uses a walker heard that, she said something like: "Better to use a cane than falling and breaking a hip." There will be times, I'm sure when I'll just say "the heck with it" and walk without it, but I figured I should try getting used to using it before something big did happen.

Only 18°C/65°F out here, so yeah, cooler, but it should get up to 27°C/80°F, which will suit me just fine.

Give yourself time to get used to walking with it, and how it feels. Before you know it, that pace will pick back up.

I have a four foot walking stick which works better than a cane for walking.
