My Wish Came True

The other day I was telling someone about the bunnies I used to see running around the field across from my house in a park. I have never seen any rabbits where I live now. Last night night I looked out the windows at dusk. I saw a little bunny hopping along the edge of the pond. He was in no hurry to move on and sat looking at the pond too. I was so happy to see him there and hope to see more bunnies soon. Do your wishes come true? Do you like bunnies? Why are simple pleasures the best?

Sometimes my wish comes true;but most of the times they don't.When I was unemployed and had no money;I wished to have a Sanskrit grammar book that was available at a very cheap price.I was very eager to read it;but was helpless.A couple of days later my maternal uncle came to see my mother. He had brought a book with him as a gift for me.And I was amazed to see it was the same book I wanted to buy.

When you need something badly, sometimes your wish comes true. I hope you are grateful for your uncle.

@Shivram59 I am so glad you got the book and have that great memory. Is your uncle still alive?

@akalinus Yes;I was very surprised and grateful to him.I wonder how he knew what I wanted.A book on Sanskrit grammar is something nobody can even think of as a gift. And it was exactly the same book I wanted to buy.

Where I live, I occasionally would see a bunny, but not daily. This year is different. They are literally everywhere, day and night. I've never seen so many anywhere around my area concentrated in one 2 block area, but they are here! I do like them, I just wish they wouldn't eat all of our plants!

I loved the rabbits in the park where I lived before. I miss them here and so happy to see one. I hope it is not the one who ate Farmer McGregors garden.

@akalinus Haha, me either. There were several bunny nests out by my patio as well, so then we had tiny bunnies hopping all over the place for awhile.

I don't know why simple pleasures are the best but it's good that they are.

Some things are so special and free for the taking. A beautiful sunset or sunrise, the dew in the morning, the sweet summer rain, it depends on what you like.

How sweet. Glad that the bunny stayed around for you to enjoy him/her. The other night I looked out our back window and saw our neighbor's kitty relaxing in our yard. I thought about quietly trying to go out but knew it was a skittish kitty and that would scare it off. So, I just stood there a few minutes enjoying it and not scaring it. It never turned around and saw me.

You were able to enjoy his presence without upsetting him. Maybe some night, you could sit outside and let him get used to you being there. You could make a new friend.

I had a white rabbit as a child. I have yet to have my wishes come true. Looking at wildlife is one of my simple pleasures. Have a great day.

I use to raise rabbits, I had like 300 head & when I would breed them I had any where from 20 - 40 liters born at 1 time so I HAD ALL KINDS OF COLORS to pick from & from meat to pets to snake food. I don't raise them anymore but back in the day when I did I was called the rabbit lady of Fla.

How interesting. You raised all those bunnies to sell? Was that difficult and a lot of work? I would feel sorry for the snake food ones.
