What's the earliest memory you have about yourself? / myLot

Memories have lasting impact on our hearts and minds. They remind of both joy and sadness we have experienced. Some memories can be vivid while others fade in time. Most of us learn and grow from recollecting things from our memory. The earliest memory I have about myself is when I was 3 years old. I had a fall from the bed and fell down on a wooden plank and had a cut on my chin. Well, I ended up getting up a stitch and permanent scar on my chin. For some reason, this memory has stuck with me for a long time. So, what’s earliest memory you have about yourself?

I was a year and a half old, and a lady was carrying me down some stairs at church. She dropped me, and my foot went through the wall, and that broke my leg. I ended up in the emergency room that Sunday night.

I have a memory from when I was 3 too. On a car trip, I recall my father cutting an apple for me outside one of our stops near the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco. It does help that there is a photograph of that very moment which my mother must have taken.

I remember a few things from when I was two and a half. I was a flower girl in a wedding, and I remember getting the dress..and everyone remarking how cute I was. also being at the dentist and getting my teeth cleaned, plus the actual wedding..because I got scared of a photographer who jumped out to take my picture and a loud noise from the organ. I ran screaming up the aisle to my mother.

I was young, still in a crib, maybe just over a year old. I was wearing a white slip. My mom was in the living room talking to a neighbor. I stood up facing the wall and saw a huge, hairy spider running across the wall. I started screaming and don't remember what happened after that. I also remember my brother and I squirting each other with a hose. It was fun.
